We just returned from a two week stay at Disney, June 6-20. The first week, we stayed at the Yacht Club and had the Deluxe Dining Plan. The second week, we stayed at Coronado Springs and had the regular dining plan.
This was our first time trying any of the dining plans since my DD is/was such a picky eater. She's been trying more things lately, so we decided to give it a try.
Day 1 - Our plane was delayed due to bad weather in Orlando, and we didn't have any plans the first night anyway. DD & I went to Beaches & Cream - its her absolute favorite ice cream restaurant!!! I had the chicken soup, cheeseburger/fries, coke, and an ice cream sundae with marshmallow topping! DD had the onion rings, hotdog/fries, coke, and an ice cream sundae just like mine! We both were very full and really enjoyed our early dinner. BTW, we got there around 5:30 pm and there were a few tables available with no wait! Anyway, it was approx $50 for the two of us.
DH walked on the Boardwalk, and stopped at Big River Grille. Sorry, I don't remember what he had.
Day 2 - MK day! For lunch, we took the boat over to WL for lunch at WCC! The food was pretty good, and it was actually a little quiet in the restaurant. They did do the pony rides for the kids! Anyway, I had the house salad, pulled pork sandwich, and apple caramel pie. DD had the Canyon Skillet and the apple caramel pie. DH had the pork spring rolls, turkey sandwich, but skipped dessert. All in all, a nice lunch; great break from the heat! (Approx $88)
Dinner was at Artist Point. I had the house salad, tenderloin, and creme brulee. DD had the spring rolls, tenderloin, and creme brulee. DH had the soup, salmon, and creme brulee. DD & I weren't crazy about the creme brulee - it wasn't bad, but it wasn't one of our favorites! The food was great though! (Approx $225)
Day 3 - Epcot! Lunch was at Marrakesh. DD had the beef brewat, shish kebob, and ice cream. DH & I each ordered our own, but shared: chicken bastilla, jasmina salad, marrakesh delight, sultans sampler. Food was good, and DH & I LOVE the mint tea!!!! (Approx $96)
Dinner was at Chefs de France. DD had the lobster bisque, rotisserie chicken, and creme brulee. I had hte house salad, beef tenderloin, and creme brulee. DH had lobster bisque, chicken, and creme brulee. Food was good, service was really good. (Approx $122)
Dav 4 - Hollywood Studios! Lunch at Brown Derby. DD had soup, rib eye, and creme brulee. (notice a pattern here???) I had the shrimp appetizer, rib eye, and creme brulee. I really was looking forward to the chicken salad, but it wasn't on the menu. DH had shrimp appetizer, tuna, and creme brulee. Food really good, service good. (Approx $156)
For dinner, we just went back to Beaches & Cream. DD had been at the pool since lunch time - she LOVED SAB! So we did a quick dinner close by. DD had the chicken soup, hot dog/fries, and marshallow sundae. I had the caesar salad, cheeseburger/fries, and marshmallow sundae. DH had bowl of chili, hotdog/fries, and skipped dessert. Food good again - DD loving her dinner!!! (Approx $75)
Day 5 - Pool Day at the hotel!!! We started with breakfast at Cape May. DD enjoyed this meal too, and even took pictures with the characters. She's 13 now so the characters are just a "sometimes" thing. But breakfast was good - fruit was really fresh! (Approx $75)
We took a small break from the pool for lunch at Captain's Grille. I had the caesar salad (this is a HUGE appetizer), cheeseburger, and the gelato. DD had the crab cakes, cheeseburger, and gelato. DH joined us and just had the chicken caesar salad. Food was really good, it was nice and quiet in the restaurant! What a great little place for lunch!!! (Approx $72)
For dinner, we met up with some friends at the Yachtsman Steakhouse! This is DD's favorite nice restaurant! She had the lobster bisque, rib eye, and creme brulee. This is by far her absolute favorite creme brulee!!! I had the caesar salad, rib eye, and creme brulee. DH had the scallops, rib eye, and creme brulee. Food was great - service was great!!! (Approx $165)
Day 6 - AK day! Yak & Yeti is our new favorite restaurant at AK! DD had the pot stickers, honey chicken, and she & DH shared the brownie/ice cream. I had the spring rolls, bbq ribs, and mango pie. DH had the salad, and duck. Food was great!!!! (Approx $112)
Dinner was at Narcoose's. DD had the crab cakes, chicken, and I think the kids meal brownie sundae. I had the shrimp appetizer, filet, and creme brulee. Day 7 - Epcot again! Lunch at LeCellier. DD tried the chipotle sausage appetizer, cheeseburger, and the smores. She wasn't too crazy about the appetizer, but DH & I really liked it! DH & I shared the trio appetizer - I really just had the cheese soup. He ate the tomato stack and I can't remember what else it came with. It was good - we ate it all! I had the chicken caesar salad and creme brulee. DH had the salmon BLT. Food was great! (Approx $103)

I had the soup, slow cooked ribs and chicken dish, and rice pudding. DH had the scallops, lamb tandoora, and the cream chai. Food was really good, service was excellent, and again, the view is amazing!!! (Approx $166)
Because we came in late on Sat, June 6, we still had some more credits to use, so we used them on Day 8.
Breakfast was at Kona Cafe - had to get our tonga toast!!! DD had the orange juice, chocolate milk, and french toast. DH & I both had the tonga toast. I also had the orange juice and chocolate milk. The orange juice comes in kinda large glass - DD & I should have shared. DH had coffee. (Approx $45)
Dinner was California Grill!!! While we were eating here, a couple got engaged! It was sweet! Anyway, DD got the soup, chicken, and valhora cake. I had the caesar salad, filet, and creme brulee. DH had the pork apple flatbread and the lamb. (Approx $200)
We used our snack credits mostly for water - but we bought a few snacks back for souvenirs! And we did use our mugs a few times.
Overall, we enjoyed all of our meals!!! Can't really say we were disappointed with anything. DD sometimes ordered an appetizer or dessert off the kids menu, and no one had a problem with her ordering off both menus. Although we definitely saved money with the deluxe plan and I did like having it all paid for in advance, I'm not sure we'll do it again. It really was a lot of eating! But, we usually eat at quite a few of the signature restaurants, and often get appetizers anyway. But usually, we share dessert. So, I'll have to think about it.
I tried to write down on the receipt they gave us what the total would have been. On some of the meals, I had to look at the receipt to try and remember what it was that we ordered! I'll post our week of regular dining later!!!
