Deluxe Dining Questions

I have two questions.

We will have 2 adults and 1 child. Will our meals be pulled as just the total amount of credits, not child and adult? For us 4 nights, so 36 meals. Or will it be 24 Adult and 12 child. It was like that last June.

If we are at a QS location and want to order 2 meals, can they be adult or child? Or are they seperated?

For our dinner at Jiko, can we use the meal plan for my husband and me, then pay for our childs meal?

You will have 24 Adult and 12 Child

If you have 2 adults on your KTTW card you can order up to 2 adult CS meals at a time. CS Meals aren't broken out by Adult and Child but the TS are. So, if you use 24 Adult TS meals and 12 Adult CS meals (at 6 different times) I don't think they'd stop you. I have done this in the past by mistake (error in calculating) just be aware it is "cheating" of the system.

Yes, you can use the meal plan for the 2 of you and pay OOP for the child meal but I don't think you'll be able to use more than 24 Adult TS meals during the length of your stay from the DDP.

Thanks, I wanted to possibly keep some open for the kids to have breakfast waffles or something like that, where we dont want to eat.

I thought with deluxe dining, all of the credits were pooled together. There's no separate table service and counter service credits. If you have 36 credits, it should not be divided into counter service and table service on your receipt. It's divided on the regular dining plan but not on the deluxe dining plan.

As of my trip in March this year, DxDP credits were all pooled together, not separated by adult/child.

Yep, and because of that the credits aren't separated adult/child either, otherwise eating at a counter service restaurant without a kids menu would be a convoluted mess. I wouldn't be surprised if this eventually changes, since they seem to be adding kids' menus to a lot of the places that didn't used to have them, but until every restaurant has kids meals it wouldn't be practical to separate the credits.
