Deluxe Dining Question

I see that the deluxe dining isn't broken down like regular dining, ie... 1 TS, 1CS and 1 Snack credit. It just list 3 meals and 2 snacks per night. Does this mean you can use your meal credits for any type, TS or CS??

Absolutely.

Keep in mind with the Deluxe plan you ARE entitled to an appetizer at each TS meal. Those aren't included with the Basic DP.

You can use them for either TS or CS. However, the Signature Restaurants will still cost you 2 credits. I say this, because when we upgraded from the basic DDP to the DxDDP, my mom for some reason assumed that all meals then would cost just one credit (including the Signature restaurants and dinner shows) .

I downloaded a Deluxe Dining PDF file if you would like it. It shows what restraunts you can use the plan at, if it is character dining, a dinner show and if it will require the use of two credits. It helped us out alot.

I am so sorry but I am confused! We did not consider the deluxe plan before because I think I did not understand it correctly... When I read the description I though you get:

1) 1 TS with appetizer
2) 1 CS
3) 2 snacks
4) 1 mug

I guess I was wrong? You can use it any way you want? You just get a 2 meal credits a day to use any way you want? So you can just do TS meals if you want? Can you use the meal credits for CS too?

You get 3 meal credits per day to use for either TS or CS. Some restaurants (CRT, HDDR, California Grill, Yachtsman, etc) use 2 credits for the meal. All non-breakfast TS meals come with appetizer. I think breakfast has 2 drinks since there's no appetizer or dessert.

Plus 2 snack credits per day and refillable mug.

1 & 2--Actually you get three meal credits/day that may be used for either CS or TS (your choice). If you want three TS meals/ day you can, or three CS/day, or CS breakfast, then TS lunch and dinners, whatever you choose to use those three credits/day for is fine. If you do choose TS, then you also get an appetizer, entree, dessert, and nonalcoholic drink.

For example I will be down there solo May 3rd-10th on the DxDDP. I have 21 credits to use however I wish. I'm not a big breakfast eater, so chose to have an early TS lunch/brunch every day, then dine at a 2 credit Signature Restaurant every night. I'll also have 14 snack credits to play with. I'll be on the DxDDP again for my Sept trip, but will be traveling with a diabetic, who MUST eat three meals/day and a husband who loves to eat. For our eight nights stay we will have 72 meal credits (3/day/person) and 48 snacks (2/day/person). For that trip we will going to a TS restaurant three times/day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, we may decide to cancel a TS meal one day and use CS instead. With the DxDDP the choice is ours whether to eat TS or CS at any given meal. A hot dog meal at Casey's will take the same one credit that a meal at Le Cellier (with appetizer, entree, dessert, and drink) will. On the same trip, if we both had the DxDDP you could eat at Mainstreet Bakery, Casey's, and Pecos Bill's one day, while I ate at Akershus, Tutto Italia, and Le Cellier and someone else could use a snack credit for breakfast, Crystal Palace for lunch, then dine at Narcoosee's (2 credits) for dinner and it would cost all of us the exact same credits. Make sense?

It does make sense and it is amazing... It just seems to good to be true... That is a lot of food!!!Wow... We are going to do this one our next trip!!! We have Hoop Dee Doo on our list and that takes 2 credits there and we love that it includes the appetizer...Good thing we do a lot of walking when we go to Disney because boy are we going to eat good!!!!

we are super excited about the dulx ddp and cant wait the 20 days until our trip... we are looking forward to the FOOD!!!!! and with the dulx plan have the opportunity to eat EVERYWHERE we want and not have to worry about $$$ as its all paid for!!! (except tips - but I acutally prefer this as we tip on service - give me great service I will reward ya - no so great well no/little reward) the apps and dests are great as well - so we can try some of the apps... we are doing several signature meals and cant wait...

I feel the same way about the tip. I tip according to service. If I don't see the waiter they don't see my tip.

I like the idea I saw in a different post.
I was afraid I wouldn't be able to eat three meals a day. I don't eat three meals a day at home either...
One person suggested eating breakfast in the room, or getting a muffin or such with a snack credit (since you get 2 snack credits per day), then use 1 table service for an early lunch and two for a dinner show or signature dinner. I don't think we are going to do this on this trip, since we have a toddler and a baby in our party, but it is definately what we are doing next time!!!
