[the following is assuming i did the math right]
we did the basic already. this is for 2 adults, no kids.
so the delux includes 2 cs meals, two snacks and 1 ts, plus your refillable mug.
the diff in price if i did it right was 384 dollars.

so that would be, knock off 28.00 for the two mugs, left over is 356.00 divided by the now 14 cs meals and extra snacks,
(7 days two adults) is roughly 26.00. so in the 26 you got 1 snack and a meal.

do YOU think it is worth the extra?
384-28/14=25.43.

all opinions welcome.

You can do 3 TS meals a day if you want. Or you can do some signature dining.

I am spreading it out over 6 days we're staying 5 nights & doing some signature dining so our savings will be more. :thumbsup2

Look at the menus & then you can compare prices better.

::yes:: You get credits to use however you want. You can do 3TS a day, 3CS a day or any combination in between.

Don't forget all of those extra tips for the extra table service meals. This is why we decided not to do it.

the reg one wouldnt be worth it for us bc we like the siganture dining, the deluxe plan actually does workout better for us. We are thinking about getting the wine add on but arent sure of that yet.

I thought premium was 3ts, and deluxe 1 ts, and 2 cs?

i am confused!

If you like appetizers, they usually run 4-12/each per person, depending on where you are dining and what you are ordering.

The DxDDP is three meals/day and any can be either TS or CS. TS and CS are not differentiated. You can eat three 1 credit TS meals/day or a 1 credit TS for breakfast, snack for lunch, then do a 2 TS signature meal for dinner, or you can do all CS if you choose. With the DxDDP you also get the appetizer back, if you do decide to use a credit for TS.

In other words you would use the same one credit if you went to Caseys for a hot dog and cracker jacks as you would if you went to Le Cellier for an appetizer, steak, and dessert. You get three dining credits for every night of your stay and it's up to you if you use them for TS or CS. If you are like us and prefer TS you can eat three times a day at a TS restaurant.

Well, the way I see it is that... DDPDX does not save you "that much" money. However, for my DW and I, it is a great deal because last time we were down here, we were starved. So this time, I want to make sure that we have all the meals covered and have a "all-inclusive" vocation!

thanks for all the input. i re- read the dining ins and outs section.

we too want an all inclusive , so for us it would be worth it.

:goodvibes

I saved about 26% (~$460 over 8 nights for 2 adults and 1 child) off my _total_ dining bill using the DxDDP. It was nearly all inclusive, I paid for 1 CS OOP (with drinks as snacks). I enjoyed it.

::yes:: We saved $330+ over 8days/7 nights and didn't spend any money other than the tip OOP. We didn't use one credit but used up all of our snacks.

For me, it's more about being able to have 3 meals a day paid for before I ever get there! That's working out to be so much easier by splitting it up into payments every month. Maybe it won't save us tons of $$$, but atleast we won't have to carry all that moolah - just some for the tip. :) I guess it's good for some, not so good for others.

My family did the basic DDP in December and it worked out great. It was dh, myself, dd (6yo) and ds(2yo). We paid OOP for one TS meal and two or three snacks...and maxed out all our credits.

I'm going back to WDW in July w/ dd ... just the two of us.. for her birthday. We are opting for the Deluxe DDP because it will allow us 2, two credit meals and then a bunch of other TS meals for us to hang w/ characters.

I crunched the numbers a while ago and it works out better, but I can't remember by how much.

I like how everything is taken care of before we get there...I would like it better if the tips were still included, but I can deal w/ it.
