Hi everyone

I need to choose a Deluxe resort. Our plans have changed (our flight was changed by airline so we ended up having to change Arrival cities) so we need to add an extra night on. My DH + DS will be at the Red Sox game in St Pete so it will be just me plus the three others for the night.

being six- the price for 2 deluxe rooms was outrageous but with only four of us it is doable

So tell me what you like about each one. :) :cool1:

We love the Yacht and Beach Clubs! First, the pool rocks. Second, the rooms are nice and comfy and well...roomy. Third, the pool totally rocks! Fourth, location location location...you're within walking distance to both Epcot and DHS and just a short bus ride to MK and AK. Fifth, CMs are wonderful! Sixth, did I mention how awesome the pool is???? good luck with your planning!:woohoo:

I would certainly choose BC!! It is awesome!! It is in a great location, has SAB, great rooms, Cape May Cafe (try the character breakfast!!!), and has Art!! You will love it!!!!

We love the Poly. Atmosphere, location and transportation. You can get to MK and Epcot by monorail. The views are fantastic. Large rooms. Great resturants. Fireworks from the beach. We have stayed in many of the deluxes and it's still the one we always go back to. :)

I would start by figuring out what you want to do with your day. are you going to try to go to a park? is there a restaurant you want to try? water sports? swimming? I'd figure that out first then figure out the resort.

Though the pool at BC/YC is awesome it features a very large clown, sometimes scary to the likes of your 2 & 4yo. The Animal Kingdom Lodge has a zero entry pool (easy access for the little ones) is bigger than the WL pool and has a fun water slide. The entire pool and nearby playground area ar "sand free" which can make for easier clean up!...lol The animal viewing is also an obvious perk at AKL.

WL and AKL are the lowest priced hotels of the Deluxes.

Hope you get in early enough to really enjoy whatever resort you choose!

we aren't going to any park the day we arrive. We will be doing TL or BB on the 3rd but that's it.

it looks like the only available resort for both nights is CR.

Thx. I actually would have loved either WL or AKL.

The website isn't the most reliable. Wake up early and call, you might get a different answer.

BC/YC does not have a clown. That is BW. BC/YC has a slide like a ship.

After an hour on the phne I ended up with Contemporary but she never really told me if the other two I asked about were available. In fact, her first words after the greeting were "oh excuse me, I am so tired." ah, doesn't sound too promising;)

She didn''t add the magical express on so I need to call tmorrow.

Here's the thing...I am just a bit unsettled about CR. The only room availability was garden view, the playground is closed and it just doesn't seem like a kids resort. Am I wrong.

I inquired about two others but she never even looked at them. I don't want to keep changing my ressie; I also don't want our first experience at a WDW resort to be bad. Any suggestions. Is it beautiful and I am just worrying over nothing?

I don't think your experience would be bad. I haven't stayed at the CR in years, but remember enjoying it. However, don't worry about changing your reservation -- I have changed mine 4 times already! I would keep checking for the resort that you *really* want. Good Luck! pixiedust:

Could you be thinking of the BWI pool with the clown? I don't remember any clown at SAB at BC/Yacht Club pool ;)

Thanks - that makes me feel better about possibly changing
