We have decided to splash out and stay at a Deluxe for the duration of next holiday.

After much thought, we are reduced to the following list: The Polynesian, BoardWalk Inn, Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge.

Making this trip is my Brother and I in our early thirties looking to have fun in and out of the Parks, partake in some nighttime activities (of the Comedy club kind) as well as indulge in some out-of-Park activities like boating and a few rounds of Golf. We are staying for 10 nights and lets say money is no object.

Your thoughts please!

My vote would be for the Boardwalk. It is close very close to Epcot and MGM and it has a great deal of entertainment at the resort itself. The others you listed are very good resorts.....however I guess after hearing that you were interested in entertainment and out of park activities I think the Boardwalk is the best choice.

I'd say stay at the Boardwalk Inn.

Given what you said, here is my reasoning:

You can walk to Epcot and/or Boardwalk shops and reseraunts/bars.

You can take the boat over to MGM Studios.

(I have heard wonderful things about the Boardwalk Inn, although I have not stayed there, yet! It's on the list for our December trip, just depends on rates.)

My second choice would be the Polynesian. (I just loved this resort!)

Monorail access is tops! Walk over to the TTC and catch the monorail to Epcot.

Since you say money is no object, stay AKL concierge. The staff there is fantastic! This is the only Disney hotel that I've stayed in concierge before. If you can, make sure to stay on a Monday or Friday night so you can do the Sunrise Safari. I can't say enough good things about this.

With 10 days, I would consider spliting my stay 3 ways. The way we pick the resort(s) to stay at, is who has the best rates when AP rates come out. Switching resorts is not for everyone and as soon as we've stayed at all the Disney resorts, we will (probably) stop switching. But then again if we can't make up our minds, you never know!

I hope I've been of some help.

I have to agree for what you are looking for the Boardwalk is the place. There is entertainment right outside your window with lots to do, you are a walk or boat ride away from Epcot and MGM. At the Boardwalk you are in the middle of the "World."

Another vote for Boardwalk. Central location with lots of activity both day and night.

Of your list I would definitely agree that Boardwalk would be the best choice becasue of location and entertainment access.

You may also want to consider Swan/Dolphin, a deluxe just steps away from the Boardwalk.

Have fun, sounds like it will be a great trip!!

Based on your demographics and interests, the Boardwalk would be your best bet. You can drink around the world in Epcot, and walk back to your room. There are several clubs right at the BW. It's a quick, easy bus ride to PI.

All the Disney resorts offer free taxis to the Disney golf courses, so your set for that no matter which you choose.

Based on the nightlife and the proximity to two parks, Epcot and MGM, I'd recommend Boardwalk. I don't think they rent boats, but I'm pretty sure the Yacht and Beach Club does, which is right next door.

Boats can also be rented at Downtown Disney Marketplace, which is a bus ride away.

Good luck and have fun!

Boardwalk and AKL are out to me because they are not in MK area. Wilderness Lodge > Polynesian in hotel but Polynesian > Wilderness Lodge because it is on the monorail. But i would still rather stay at WL

If your favorite park is MK, then stay at the Poly or the WL. Plus, they are the nicest.
