Why don't guests staying in the deluxe resort to get some other benefits like more fast passes or something or extra magic hours just for them ....some of us are paying at least $6,000 more than those staying in the value resorts

More people might be willing to stay in the deluxe Resorts if we had extra Parks or even pay more money for the room if we had extra perks

Are you paying more for your park tickets than the people in value resorts?

When you pay to stay in a deluxe resort, you get the perk of staying in a nicer resort.

Why would you choose to spend that much more?

LOL! Exactly! We stay deluxe all the time, but only with steep discounts. You know what you get when you spend extra to stay at a deluxe? Extra amenities, slides at pools, TS restaurants, room service, closer proximity to parks, bigger rooms, bigger room capacity, etc., etc., etc. You're already getting more for the upcharge and WDW needs no further incentive to get people to stay at deluxe resorts. If you don't feel like you are getting your money's worth, you are free to stay elsewhere.

Good point. If you would like perks IN the parks (and not at the resort), you'll need to pay for those on top of your ticket. If you went for a mod or value, you could use that $6,000 you've saved to schedule a few VIP tours and, voila, you've got your extra FP+.

Disney chooses to differentiate quality of park experience by offering upcharge events and tours

Maybe this will change in the future like at the Star Wars hotel...I could see them rolling a better park experience into the cost of staying there...but I'll be scared to see the prices! :)

Yup

Purchase DVC, stay deluxe without the deluxe prices and put money towards VIP guides, Keys to the Kingdom tours and moonlight magic after hours ticketed events. Your deluxe resort and its amenities is what you are choosing to pay extra for, not park perks. Disney has not gone the Universal route of paying more for in park perks and I hope they NEVER do.

I’m paying $1K more for a deluxe than a value for 7 nights. I’m getting bigger beds, bigger rooms, better location, better pools, better onsite dining, better views, better transportation and probably stuff I haven’t thought of. That’s seems like a lot for my extra money. I’ve never stayed deluxe before, so I guess I’ll see if it’s worth the extra money. But I’m definitely already getting extras for my money.

Why should they, their already packed with people willing to pay those ridiculous prices. Like another poster mentioned, when we pay for a deluxe stay its with a big discount and it's only $100-$150 more per night than a Mod, we do not think they're worth any more then that.

Oh it would be nice, however j gnu know that it really is not a fair proposition. I pay extra for deluxe and I get the amenities that come with that additional money. If I wanted to sorbs less I would and do choose a different level. Now if you ask why people cannot pay extra for fast pass, that is a different ballgame.

Hmm? According to one of your previous posts you paid $2,752 for your 6-night stay at BC with Ultimate Park Hopper tickets.

It is, admittedly, none of my business, but since you brought it up, I can't help but wonder what you spent other $3,248 on to get to $6,000?

ETA the thread I linked is outdated and therefore is not accurate with regard to OP's first post in this thread. Sorry for the confusion.
