I don't want to upset anyone but I was wondering how anyone can use all the credits on the delux plan. We were just on the basic and I was so full by the time I left Disney I felt I would lose weight just leaving Disney. We found it hard to use all our snacks but we managed. I thought I read that you get 2 snacks a day on the delux. We laughed about how last year we also got an app and we ate everyone of them.

I think it depends on your family. For example when we go it will be Me, DD, DH, DS, my Mom and Dad. Of the group, DH DS(20) and my Dad are little piggies. :rotfl: Our last trip DS used his snack credits, some of mine and bought some OOP lol. We will probably upgrade to the Deluxe this trip anyway because my Dad likes his appy's. :goodvibes

also, it's nice to make use of the 2ts restaurants. i'd never get to go to narcoosee's, jiko, brown derby, cali grill, and CRT without it. most days, i have an early lunch planned, or late breakfast, and a dinner. i'll use my snacks for breakfast and water. sounds good to me! oh, and i'm going alone, and i'm not a big eater, but i want the flexibility of it.

We are trying the deluxe during the free dining period. We have several breakfast ADR's and dinners are signature dining that we've never been able to do before. Even when we were deciding, DH and I were saying how much food it would be, wondering how we would do it all. But dining is a huge part of our vacation so we're looking forward to it. I don't think we would pay full price for it but it will be nice to try it for half price.

I just went for 3 days with two of my friends from college.
I didn't want the "hassle" of trying to figure out who owed what.
I am DVC so I sort of let them believe that it was part of it. (Fingers crossed behind back).
Anyway, we usually ate a sit down breakfast (Boma, Spoodles 2X), had 2 credit TS early dinners, and managed to use our snacks for drinks and icecream.
It worked out wonderfully. Of course, I wasn't thinking about the value. If I brought my own family, I probably wouldn't have done it.
PS--we aren't large people who eat huge amounts.

Deb

here is how we are using all our credits:

We are 5 people 5 nights so 75 dining and 50 snacks (lol)

day 1 5 at lunch CS 5 at dinner "ohana

day 2 5 at Breakfast Princess Norway 5 at dinner Kona

day 3 5 at breakfast CS 5 at dinner 50's

day 4 5 at lunch Coral reef 10 at dinner Fantasmic

day 5 5 at Lunch LeCellier 5 at Dinner CS

day 6 10 at lunch (Castle) 5 at dinner grab and go before we leave at 7PM

thats 70 food credits I assume on days when we eat breakfast and not again til dinner the kids may want a cs meal esp if they are eating chicken strips while we are eating tons of food

we do not have a "plan" for snacks but we figure anything we do not use we will divide between the kids at Goofys and they can bring home treats for their freinds

I think the fact that we arrive very early on check in day and don;t fly out til 9:30 PM check out day helps our meals are covered all 6 days if we had done basic we would have had to do OOP the last day and I would not have done any 2 credit things

Sit down breakfast or lunch and a signature dinner= 3 credits a day and only two meals. Now tell me, don't you eat at home? Not even lunch and dinner?

You may borrow my 19 year old son next time. Always hungry and thirsty
You’ll be out off snack credits in a jiffy.:thumbsup2

But seriously you don’t have to eat all the food on your plate in my humble opinion.
On both plan’s just eat as much as you eat at home.

I don't eat breakfast at home, ever, so using the 3 TS's for one lunch and a Signature dinner is perfect for me. When my Dfi comes he needs a breakfast but when it's just my mother and I we use a snack credit for a piece of fruit or juice and we're good till 12pm.

When we were younger, and when we didn't take any kids, we were able to run commando style through the parks, with CS bkfast, granola bar for lunch, and a TS or offsite dinner. These days, we eat 3 meals every day, plus DD5 likes to eat a little at a time. I won't say we our portions aren't much greater at WDW, because they are, especially since we do a lot of buffets. We love to eat! So, DH and I will eat a little healthier and exercise a little before we go to WDW. Errrr, at least I will. DH has been talking about it, but not yet doing it. With just under 5 months to go and free dining (ok, half price deluxe) on the horizon, I better do a lot of Dance Dance Revolution!

Sounds like we'll be down there about the same time and using the DxDDP the same way. I'll have an early TS lunch everyday (as soon as the restaurant opens) and then will be doing a 2 credit Signature meal every night. I'll probably have snacks left over, but have no problem bringing stuff from Goofy's home.
