Delta Song Cancelling Direct Flights

We have always flown out of JFK and haven't had any problems at all getting in or out - we find it quite easy actually. JetBlue is usually the airline of our choice
Actually next time we're flying Spirit out of LGA since they had better fares. We have no qualms about using the NYC airports - they're much better that Hartford for us.

We always drive our car and park at Avistar Parking. Their rates are decent (we use coupons or AAA discounts). The are convenient and a re quick to drop you off and pick you up (the JFK long term parking lot busses take forever!). We've paid $100 for 10 days to park.

wow thats interesting news. if they ever cancelled mco flights out of JFK, i would be very upset considering i just got an delta american express to get miles for my trips to disney! ahhhhhhhhhhh.

We know how you feel. Song/Delta pulled out of Wash/Dulles airport last spring and I really miss them. They were only there for 6 months. Before Song, Delta always had non-stops, but then Song stepped in and when they left they took the Delta non-stops with them. Delta still flys out of Dulles, but no non-stops anymore. I use Indepedence and Ted here. When Song leaves your airport, be ready for the possibility of higher fares because your competition will change and the other airlines won't have to match Song's prices. That happend to us also. After Song left, we only had TEd (United) that flew non-stop and they didn't offer us very good fares, but now that Independence (FLYI) moved in the better fares are back. Good luck! Could it be that Delta's lease of terminal space and gates at Newark came up for renewal and the rent went up so Delta decided to scale back on Newark operations for that reason?

OT: Southwest is in the process of negotiating a new lease for gates at Seattle. There was one rumor they might move out of Sea-Tac and over to Boeing Field to get cheaper gate rent. It was said they don't want to leave the Seattle market completely.
