I made reservations for 8 adults on Delta's 800 number, giving the actual addresses and phone numbers of those not living with me, and today I noticed my son-in-law listed at my address. Does this matter or should I call Delta and get this correct?

No. They don't check. You might get promotional mail for him now.

As CarolA posted, it doesn't matter (or at least it didn't used to matter). I made the airline reservations for me and two other adults and the only contact information Delta had was for me. There was absolutely no problem. I did receive the receipt and itineraries (and subsequent changes, LOL) for all 3 of us, but that was not a problem.

FWIW, this may become a problem in the future. The government is apparently working on some new screening system that requires the airlines to share passenger data with them. My understanding is that they(government) will do some kind of check to verify the identity of airline passengers. Not sure if that will require contact info for all parties or not, but if I had to guess, I'd say it will. The people whose identity cannot be properly verifed will probably either have to go through additional screening or maybe even be denied boarding.

I do have one correction. If you are on an international flight it might matter, but as of right now not domestic. They run many more checks on international flights. I actually think it will be much harder to implement this on domestic flights since lots of people (like me) have a corporate travel agent who just uses the generic address. (My generic address is in Dallas, I live in Nashville!)

The Carols to the rescue! Thanks to both of you, I feel much better now. There'll be 8 adults and a toddler in this trip down and smoothing out all the arrangements is quite a chore. Disney will provide all the entertainment, I just have to get them all there! Thanks again.
