Delta out of Boston?

Has anyone flown Delta out of boston recently? I have an early morning flight(6am) and was wondering what time I should get there? the last time I flew was back in 1997 and the last time DH flew was in 1975 so it's been a while sence either of us have been on a plane. Could anyone tell me what security will be like at that early in the morning in Boston? any advice would be a big help. thanks

We fly Song out of Logan. We usually try to get there about 2 hrs ahead of our flight time. But I would think that a 6 am flight would be fine if you were there 1 1/2 hrs before. We always end up just sitting around for 1 1/2 hrs!!! But, at least we are there and I'm not panicking about getting stuck behind an accident or whatever on the way in!!!

I think 2 hours for a 6AM flight might be a bit of overkill. I also don't know if the ticket counters will even be open at 4am

If you were there by 4:30-4:45 I think you would be just fine.

The security system - as far as getting you thru - is very effecient, and not nerve-racking as I pictured it would be post-9/11.

In the airport by 4:45a should be plenty of time for a 6:00a flight!

Man, I wish my dh subscribed to your policies!!! Has to be there 2 hrs. beforehand, no matter what. If I can talk him down to 1 1/2 hrs. I figure I'm doing great. But I would go along with the 4:45 time frame also. Just don't tell dh.

For our 7 am flights, we're always at Logan by 5:00 am. Its surprisingly packed with people in line at that hour. But the line goes fast. By the time we get coffee and treats, and get through the security line, we wait about 45 minutes. Better early and safe. It won't hurt to be that early, right? But it would hurt if you were running to your flight because of a long security line etc.
