Delta or United??? Now or Later???

We got a great DEAL from American for our May trip.
OurDogCisco, We're cruising when you are. Did you get airfare for your upcoming May cruise or are you talking about last May?
I ask because we're flying out of Chicago and right now to book with AA is expensive. Spirit is the least expensive to book with and they're even high (right now). I think we'll get the best airline rates 2-3 months before we travel.
May 2002 we flew to Orlando with Delta and it was a nice flight except they changed our itinerary 3 times (the times, not the day) before we flew and I think that was all because of 9-11. I would fly Delta again too if they had good rates again.

We have always flown from Dulles on United when going to WDW and Delta when going on DCL. Their schedules and our schedule works better that way. I have never paid more than $175/person. However, we are going to WDW in Sept/Oct and I have been shopping for tickets for months. United is rediculous!! And I have been weary of Song so we are trying SouthWest. $160/person. My DH has flown SW before and says it's ok so we are going to give it a try. :smooth:

I know exactly what you mean. I usually fly United, but that was because through my company I could get a corporate discount. After they ended their discount, I still decided to fly United because I liked their service and I still was able to get decent airfare and had a mileage account.

I've been watching the flight prices since February when we decided to book and I only saw United dip below $300 once, and that was only to about $280. I just can't see paying that when all of our other flights to MCO around the same time of year have all been under $200. But I've heard enough good things about Song now that I'm pretty confident about taking them, and the price was right...$163.50 round trip.

Hope SW goes well for you. We should compare notes after our trips.

Yep, I am talking about next May. From California AA offered the cheapest rate so far. Delta was about $100 more a person right now. I am sure Delta's rate will go down but doubt it will happen until closer to the cruise. I wanted to lock in that rate now just in case. Also, I don't think Delta will offer less than $200 a flight so, I feel confidient that I got a good price. I can't wait to meet the DISers on the cruise.
