Me and my best friend are traveling on new years day. I've had big problems with delta in the past but decided to give them another try. Anyone fly with them recently? Any comments? Also, we paid 206 r/t from providence to orlando. Is that a good price? We're a little nervous as the last time we flew with them we had problems on every flight, including engine not starting, excessive heat in the back of the plane, and loss of power. Im just nervous. Thanks!!

I fly Delta all the time and have never had a problem with them. What you discribed is very scary! I scare easy and I've got to tell you I am leary of flying on a good day! Engine failure/loss of power! I could stay home forever after hearing this!

I have 60 Delta flights this year and things have gone fine. It sounds like you just had a bad day (however, I have on friend who lives in Florida and flys once a year and NO MATTER which airline she is on, we assume there will be problems. The girl must have bad Karma. Things happen to her that never happen to me or her husband who flies about 100 times a year!LOL!!!)

I am probaly going to jinx our upcoming Feb flight but we fly Delta Express all of the time out of Logan and have never had any of the problem that you outline above. Try to relax and hope you have an uneventful flight.

Glad to hear it was just a bad day. I kind of figured it wasn't something that was common place with delta, because up until that trip i never had any problems with them either. Thanks
