We can now fly from Columbus to Orlando non-stop for $137/seat. I still think we're going to drive it though. I'm not sure how the 2 year old would do on the plane (i.e. bother everyone around us).
Okay this is enticing to me... but our airport is a small hometown type that Southwest does not service, will Delta still match them? Also, we already bought the tickets - does that make a difference usually? Thanks

I am from Cinti, and we flew from Dayton to MCO with my two-year old DS and he did wonderful. The flight is not that long and we made sure we had a lot of toys and goodies for him. Your 2 year old would probably do great. I thought two hours was much better than trying to drive 15+ with him. He will be 2 1/2 when we go again next month, and I am again making sure we have a lot of goodies for him on the flight. $137 is a great price for non-stop - I would give it a try.

From what I can tell, Delta is only matching the same routes that SW offers so if SW doesn't service your airport then the fares probably won't go down.
If you have already purchased a ticket and the fare goes down, you can always call the airline and request a refund of the difference. You usually will only get a voucher for future travel, but every little bit helps.
