Hi folks. Delta has a rate for $500 CDN per person from Halifax for August 19-27. Is that worth jumping on or should I wait a bit? I am nail biting lol

If it was me, I'd wait. $500 is decent, but not earth-shattering. Keep following Continental or US Airways. I'm sure you'll be able to grab something for that time in the $400 range (but don't quote me on that. Hah!).

I think it's a great price. But If it's the same flight I was looking at, the connection is in JFK. I asked about the airport (because we've never been) and it sounds like most do not like the JFK airport. I was already leery about booking with Delta because of their reputation of constantly changing schedules without notification and overbooking (we've flown with them before and they are the only airline we've heard offer things to passengers to take a different flight because they obviously overbooked - that really makes me nervous). So, although the fare is very good, I decided to pass on it. Too many variables that I'm not comfortable with.

I'm definitely not brave enough to take the chance.

Good Luck.

I am waiting for the other airlines to have a seat sale.

I would wait a bit and see if you can get better. We went last March and 3 months before I got our tickets through Air Canada from Halifax-Montreal-Orlando. It was right around $1800 return with all fees/taxes included for 4 of us.
