Delta credit extension

How likely would it be for Delta to extend the expiration date for my flight credit? I received a credit for cancelling because of the Coronavirus (and Disney World cancellation) and the airline ticket was purchased January 18, 2020 so the credit is only good for travel up to January 18, 2021. I really would like to wait to reschedule our Disney trip for March 2021. Do you think Delta would extend it?

Don’t be to sad though. I have a $1000 credit with a smaller airline than Delta and I fully expect that this mess will cause them to fold and I will be left with nothing more than an email saying I have a credit.

I think, assuming Delta is still flying, that yes, they will probably extend the credit. However, I also think this is something to not even worry about until June or July at the earliest.

I cancelled our Delta flights over a week ago. I asked if there was any possibility to extend the credit. They told me at the time "Call back in the latter part of January 2021 to ask for a 45 day extension to the credit." (I was also hoping to use my credit in 2021.) I figure it is kind of wait and see at this point.

UPDATE: I called last week and received a full refund.
