Delta-Checking Flight Cancellations

Is there any way of checking on-line whether a flight is cancelled more than 2 days from flight time? We are going in Dec but do not want to wait until the last minute to find out.

I always go to the airlines website directly and search for scheduled flights. When we went to WDW the end of September two flights we were expecting to use were cancelled. They rescheduled us (all 6 of us) to a different flight with no problems. We didn't find out until the day previous to going home and I'm glad we didn't know about it so I wouldn't have to worry. I think now we will have to expect a lot of cancellations since not as many people are flying. But, the airlines are really good about rescheduling. Good luck and happy travels.

My flight doesn't show on Deltas website and it is not cancelled, it is sold out. I just called them. Call 1 800 325 1999, this is their automated confirmation line. Follow instructions to key in your future date. Luckily, none of my flights that I booked in July have been cancelled, past, present, or future. I will reconfirm the morning of (THIS WED!!!), but I think we will be good to go!

I never realized that 800 # was automated and you could punch in your actual dates and get info. I had been calling the agents directly and this is so much easier!

Thanks again and have a great trip! Save some Mickey bars for us...we will be there in 2 weeks!

I found out by looking at my frequent flyer itinerary. It looked confusing because it still listed my original flights, but it didn't say confirmed. Then -- it listed new flight numbers with the words confirmed next to it......

So I called -------

There is no sure fire way to check on cancellations other than by checking back often becasue the cancellation could happen at any time.

Also they may add back flights, particularly to and from hubs, with hardly any notice, in fact that may happen on the day of the flight, a process known as adding extra sections.
