delta charging for bags thru Magical Express

I read the article about Delta now requiring bags are paid for in advance of doing Magical Express, effective Dec. 5. We booked our tickets prior to them charging for the first checked bag. Who do we talk to about this or do we now have to check them ourselves at the airport?

We flew Northwest in Sept after they started charging for bags, but bought our tickets before. We didn't have to pay. It was in the computer I think that we purchased before the charge was announced. I found it on their website. I would think Delta would have that information on their website too. I think I found it under checked luggage.

I know Delta has it on their website, but how do I prove it to Magical Express when we check our bags in with them the day we leave?

It should be in their computer that no payment is due.

We checked in for the flight at the hotel. They must have access to the airline systems. They took our checked baggage then and sent it to the airport, the only thing we put on Magical Express was our carryons.

If you are not checking in for the flight at the hotel, don't you have to check in at the airport and give them luggage then?

Asoko, to your last question, yes. If you don't check in for your flight at the hotel, you would carry on ME and then on to your airline check in counter.

to the OP, print out proof that you purchased your tickets before the charges started being applied...even though it may be in their system, it doesn't hurt to have a hard copy with you just in case. I know that when we purchased our tickets, I printed out the confirmation and my computer is set up so it dates whatever I print off the internet.
