Delta changed our flight home from 1:30 to 3:55. :teeth: They are apparently no longer going to be offering service from Laguardia. I got a great deal on the tickets from MHT at $128 and I was pretty happy with the flight times but now we will be forced to hang around WDW for another 2-1/2 hours  So we will have to either go to DTD or park hop that last day for an extra two hours :cool1: Hopefully they won't change them on me again because I am liking the new schedule and extra time with the mouse. :maleficen

What makes you say this?

When the booking agent called that is the reason she gave me for them changing my flights. Originally we were to fly from Manchester, NH to Cincinatti, OH and then to Orlando, FL. On the way home we were to fly from MCO to Laguardia and then to NH. Now both flights will be stopping in OH. Maybe she meant they wouldn't be offering that particular connection anymore but that wasn't how she made it sound. :confused3

Tinkim - Couldn't you get a nonstop on SWA for a reasonable fare?

Call Delta and re-request seat assignments promptly. This "accepts" the schedule change as well. There actually is a greater chance you may be re-rescheduled if you do not make the call, as well as you may find you can't all sit together. Also Delta is one of the airlines where not having a seat assignment has a greater chance of being bumped.

Delta is ending their two daily LaGuardia-Manchester, NH flights next month.

It is good to hear this worked out better, though, unfortunately, you won't be experiencing Song on the return trip, since the Orlando-LaGuardia flights are operated by Song.

The best price I have ever gotten with SW was $215 with a non-stop flight to Orlando but connecting flight on the way home. I also had a hard time getting us seats together. My mom, DH, best friend, and all the kids were scattered all over the plane on the way home and despite thinking people might offer to move no one even glanced up at us never mind offer to move although I have offered/moved to allow a dad and son to sit together. Delta was $128 round trip per person and that is absolutely the lowest fare to Orlando I have even gotten so I was happy with it. :goodvibes

SeashoreCM ~ Question for you. I did check my on-line reservations and I see that they did assign us seats together when I checked the seating chart. Do you think I still need to call and confirm these seats? I figured when I saw the seating chart and we had already been assigned seats together that that would be fine but if I need to call and confirm to assure seats together I will definitely do that. Thanks for your help.

After reading this I got worried b/c I travel from Laguardia to MCO so I contacted Song airline and confirmed they are not cancelling or going to cancel flights from LGA direct to MCO for those that may be concerned.

I'm sorry. I should have worded my original post differently. That is what she told me but obviously not what she meant. Sorry about that.

I would expect that if you still have assigned seats and you are able to enter the seat change menu on line then you are all set and don't have to call to accept the schedule change. But you may still call and get a free change to something else if you did not like the schedule change.

During a schedule change, especially a schedule change involving a cancellation, the results are not exactly predictable. Some passengers may be automatically rescheduled on flights with seat assignments, some automatically reassigned on flights without seat assignments, some left with partial itineraries hanging with no replacement flight. During the automatic rescheduling, some alternate flights may be significantly overbooked. Later some employees will come through and rebalance the overbooked flights figuring that passengers still without seat assignments probably did not inspect their itineraries in the meantime and would never know they were re-rescheduled.
