I was just looking at my schedule on Delta's website and they changed my flight. We were suppose to leave on December 5 at 10:40, they changed it to 7:00 am. We will arrive in Orlando at 9:15.

My question is we are staying at the Polynesian. Will we be able to go to the hotel and drop off our luggage and get our tickets early so that we can go to the parks or something that day?

I guess it is good because it gives us more time on our arrival day. I was thinking we could do Downtown Disney that day.

yes! If your room is ready they will allow you to check right in, otherwise they will store your luggage for you and tell you when to come back for your room.

lucky you ~ more vacation hours!! :) (we always try for the earliest flght time b/c of that).
yup, just leave your luggage at the poly, get your tix, & go. there might (or might not) be a room available when you check-in, but it's no prob holding your luggage.

disneykiddos,

You may not have to accept your change of flight time.
We also were booked on Delta Express 2537. We asked for and got a complete refund and rebooked on America West, saving over $200 (4 tickets) and getting a better itinerary.

Both Southwest and America West are having great sales that end TOMORROW Aug 8. Check out the Transportation board and www.mousesavers.com.

Of all the things that can and do happen with flight schedules this is a really great one - you get a couple of hours head start -

Hi Disneykiddoes.......

Can I ask how you were to pull up your flight info on Delta's site?

I can't figure out how to do that. I saw where frequent flyer mile people can, but I don't fall into that category.

Thanks for the help
Chris

I have non-refundable tickets so I am not able get reimbursed. It probably is a good thing. We have more time to spend on our arrival day. The bad thing is having to get 2 kids up and out to the airport by 5:00 am.

it is hard getting up and out that early but worth it, I always make sure I get a 7am flight out of logan express because it gives me more time at Disney. by the time we land at 10am and pick p a car we get to the hotel about 11"30, I was lucky, our room was ready at AK. Just go to bed earlt that night and you'll catch up on sleep. have a great trip :D

I don't know how old your children are but when mine were 7 & 8 I let them sleep in clothes and then when we got in the airport they were more awake and I let them change in the bathroom. I would call the Poly and let them know you have had a change of flight time and note it on your ressie. It may help with getting into your room early. Have a nice trip.

What they do now (or at least what they did in November 2000 the last time we were there) when you check in early and your room is not available, they store your luggage and give you a phone number you can call from time to time and see if your room is ready.

Even if your tickets are the "non-refundable" kind you can still get the money back because the time is not what you wanted. This happened to us after Sept. 11. U.S. Air refunded and we rebooked with another airline. Just tell them you do not accept this change.
TooBoyz4us- just go to the home page for Delta and click on Flight Schedules on the left of the screen. Put in your departure city and arrival city (MCO) and then the date of the flight at the bottom. This will only give you one flight at a time. If you want to check on your homebound flight you need to start over.

FWIW we also had "non-refundable" tickets but there was no problem about getting this refund. Apparently the rule is that if your flight time changes by more than 90 minutes, you can get a refund. We could also have rebooked on different Delta flights, paying or receiving any difference in price.

The real issue for us was being switched from standard commercial aircraft to Embraer commuter planes, which I don't care for.

America West has an 8:30AM flight which is plenty early for us, as we live near Dayton, 70+ miles from Columbus airport.

Thankyou Samantha L,

I will go over to Delata.com and play around to see if I can figure it out. :Pinkbounc
