Delta baggage question

We fly SWA but have a friend flying Delta in a few weeks. Her adult son/girlfriend is on her reservation. They don't live in the same town and each want to pay their own baggage. Can she check in online at 24 hour mark and pay for a bag for her and her husband and then her son log in and pay for his separately? Will it allow both of them to pay separately for their bags and then he can print boarding passes since she does not have a printer? They will fly out of the same airport.

Another question along the same lines. Once at Disney they check in at 24 hour mark for departure and pay their baggage fees. What if after packing they realize they need to add another bag. Can that be paid at the RAC desk. Looking at the Delta site it seems to be the same price to pay online as at check in or am I reading that wrong? Between the 4 of them they plan on checking 2 bags so they would just be adding a bag to someone on the reservation, not a second bag for someone.

Some of this depends if they're all on the same reservation or not, but, basically, just check-in online (there's no need to do it at the 24 hour mark, this isn't WN, the 3-4 hour mark is fine), then on arrival at the airport just go to the airline counter or a self-service kiosk. They can swipe different credit cards for each bag, and the same when you check bags on the return. It's a bit of a pain for the agent, or takes an extra minute at the kiosk (they'll need to go through the bag check process multiple times, once per bag if at a kiosk), as they'll have to process multiple transactions, but it's fine.

Again, no 24 hour mark!!!

They don't need to pay online or check-in online, just pay and check-in at the RAC desk, same as at the airline counter for the departure, following the same procedures. The price is the same.

As the pp said, there's no rush to do this at the 24 hour mark on Delta. In fact on the way to WDW you could just wait to check in and check your bags at the airport.

I can't remember for Delta, but in case the concept helps, with Alaska I can choose to just check in one of us on a reservation. So I assume I could pay bag fees separately. I would assume you can do it with Delta, too, but I can't guarantee it.

(and FWIW we check in 24 hours out for ANY airline...just gets it done and we like having it done)

This is exactly what I was thinking! Guess we will find out soon enough. Worst case they can all just check in at the airport and pay fees there.
