Delta April 16 or 15?

Which is safer an April 16 10:50pm or an April 15 10 :50pm flight with Delta? Do you think they will strike immediately on April 15 or will strike date be after April 17?

Please Help... I am losing my mind over this...I really need to make a decision by tomorrow.

At this point I would say neither. On the 18th might be a strike. If you have not purchased tickets, find another airline, if you must use Delta-I guess I would pick the 15th and hope that you can get on another airline within 24 hours...Hoping for better news

I thought earliest that they can strike is on Apr 18?

Personally, I wouldn't purchase any airline tickets on Delta, except on the day of my trip!

if it was me i would just go with someone else at this point,it is not worth the stress all of us are going through.It is very stressful and upsetting,this is a vacation not a nightmare!! I am looking at alternate measures now to get my kids to disney.I have my whole trip paid so this is really frustrating

Actually my actual flight sked is Apri 20, planning to change to April 16 or 15 to avoid the strike...my ticket is unrefundable. So, what do you think April 16 or 15? Those are my only option at this moment.

Delta Pilots Union Let Chairman Set Strike Date

ATLANTA Leaders of the pilots union at Delta Air Lines Inc. said Wednesday they gave their chairman the right to order a strike at the nation’s third-largest carrier at anytime after April 17.

It was the first time the union has mentioned a date in connection with its threat to strike if the Atlanta-based company is successful in voiding its contract so it can impose up to $325 million in long-term pay and benefit cuts.

Phuang-As stated in the above article from the Associated Press, they wont walk till AFTER April 17 as stated above. You will be safe before then. Stop worrying! My flight is on April 17 and now I am relieved I will make my trip going, coming home is another story.
