That sounded so yummy!
I looked it up on line.
Wowzeers!
I wish they would expand to Houston.
I miss East Coast yummies... like good bagels and challah bread.
Thanks for the tip Kevin!
We will visit the bakery in May.

They are great. We discovered them a while back when we stopped in that center to eat at Pei Wei. They food is amazing.

That segment made me think about renting a car from the Dolphin for one day, just to make a run to Whole Foods and Delish.

Thanks, podcast crew.

ENABLERS!

:thumbsup2 Great idea! I'll have a car if we go in March. I'll have to look and see when they close. Maybe a good pitstop on the way from the airport. I can pick up some supplies at Whole Foods and get bagels for breakfast.

I've never.asked this before, but.....if you go to Delish will you please mention that you heard about them on the podcast?

I told the owner that I was going to talk about his business and he told me that none of his advertising had worked.

I told him that I thought this might, but I know he didn't believe me.

Thanks.

i wonder if they ship, if they do i will give them some business.......that is almost funny, from NY to ORL and back to central PA.......................

Arg, one of the things that stinks about living in TN is there are no good bagels. Since my family and I are from Brooklyn, we want them! Tell the Delish people to expand!!

i emailed them to see if they ship, if they do, and we get enough people on board we could give them a hell of a spike. we have the power to do that.

I wish I would have seen this before I left. I would have mentioned it.

Nevermind, Katie mentioned she said something when she went back in to pick up the hot bagels. :)

New York Bagels

I was on my way to DTD this morning to pick up a few things and had the podcast on in the car on my drive over from Cocoa and heard Kevin's review of this place and decided to stop by since I had 30 minutes to kill. I got the everything bagel with cream cheese and capers and the chocolate croissant. While I didn't have them bake me one fresh I did have them toast it for me and I will say it was one of the best bagels I've had. A little bit to much cream cheese for me, but it was still very tasty. The croissant was average, it was pretty much the same as the one that you can get at WDW, however, I can see this place turning into a regular stop when we make our trips over to Disney. Their display case had all sorts of goodies in it that looked REALLY good, especially the brownies. If I had a decent phone I would have taken a picture of the display case to show everyone what they had. I'll be sure to mention the podcast next time I'm in since I didn't see this thread before I made the trip over this morning.

laura stein from the bakery answered my email about shipping and she said that they are right now working on a program to ship bagels and she would get back to me soon. i will let everyone know when that happens.

I'm glad to hear this news, Kevin & John. After you guys told us about the bagel problem during dinner at Jiko, Sean and I were trying to figure out a way to get fresh Jerzy bagels to you. We ultimately decided against it because they can go bad so quickly. I'm glad to hear that you have a solution and that this bakery uses the awesome water from up north! ;) That REALLY makes a bagel!

Just wanted to post this for Kevin and his bagel croonies...It was posted on FB this morning. Just mention you saw the deal on FB and you get it!

"FACEBOOK ONLY" SPECIAL BEGINNING SATURDAY, JANUARY 23rd: get 50% off a dozen bagels with the purchase of two small tubs of flavored cream cheese. (As always, cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts, or coupons. This is a limited time offer and will expire soon.)

Looks wonderful, and there are so many great, Jewish-style pastries. (Rugelach, hamentaschen, etc.)

They'd have me if they were kosher. But alas, they're just "kosher-style."

Enjoy.

(Of course, I live in NY, so I shouldn't complain. Kevin, you need a delivery of H&H Bagels?)

Thanks for the review Kevin and John, this makes me SUPER excited that we are driving down for our summer trip. We will definitely stop at DELISH and stock up on bagels for our DVC unit, and I will let him know that we heard about him on the Podcast, can't wait to try them! :thumbsup2
Lesley
