Deletion of posts

If a post is going to be deleted, I, and I'm sure others, would really appreciate it if the post were quoted in the "sorry, we deleted your post because xxx" message instead of just some blanket statement. It also would be appreciated if we knew which moderator did the deleting. I have no idea what qualified as "sarcasm" in my recently deleted post and have no idea which moderator determined it was sarcasm. Their definition of sarcasm may be completely different from mine, and blanket deletion of a post instead of editing is very heavy handed. There's plenty of sarcasm (and all around rudeness) to go around on these forums, but I don't see a lot of these posts being deleted, so I'd like to know where the threshold is before someone gets their hand slapped.
