deleting unused user ID

Hi,
This is my first posting, and I would like to delete a previous user ID (No postings have been issued under it i.e. "johnnyfedora") please instruct how to delete it if I can do it myself.
I am going to use Johnnie Fedora as my user ID.

Welcome to the DIS, Joel.

That would have to be done by a webmaster, but I don't think they bother with it. Just use your new id and don't worry about that one.
