I am a feminist-it's not to stir the pot it's my opinion. I'm glad to live in America where we are free to express them. I have visited Hong Kong Disney while working out there out of curiosity. I had been to WDW many times but not on my own accord or as a major park fan- I was taken 3x by family as a teen, and later I was dating someone who worked on Main Street in PR so I always got in for free.

Some people are into Disney Parks and some aren't. I'm not one of them -but it's OK to have that opinion just like it's ok to love it. It's not for everyone. In my case once at DL was enough for me!
I wanted to touch on Park Vue-We typically stay in luxury hotels. Given the great ratings online and proximity to the park, though not luxury or boutique, this seemed perfect. Upon checking in we were shocked by the quality of the hotel-just the cheap feeling it gave off like we had checked into a Motel 6 or something. Our room looked like it came out of 1970. Ugly brown everything and a cafeteria style table. There was dried juice (or something) all over the carpet so our feet stuck when we walked. The walls and ceilings were so thin, we were kept awake all night by screaming children next door-and by the parents who let them loose outside our door at 6am to scream. The sheets were not quality and so crunchy we could hardly sleep on them. When we pulled up the sheet to check for bedbugs as we do at any hotel-the under part was covered in yellow stains, black hairs and crud. We would never stay again, but were stuck for the 2 nights given it was pre paid.
It's interesting how defensive so many people are on here saying i'm trying to stir the pot when i'm just posting my experiences and opinion. Isn't that what you all do as well? If you can't have an objective adult conversation you probably need to grow up. Not everyone is brainwashed to think Disney is amazing.

It also made me sad to see all of the girls dressed as princesses. It's such an antifeminist POV to press upon young girls-get married to a man and live happily ever after. I'm glad they have Elsa now who isn't such a stereotype. I'd love to see some little girls dressed as Peter Pan or boy characters but Disney had pressed into there minds the opposite is how things should be.
Umm....

Peter, Hook, Michael, and John are all female here. I'm the only male in the entire group.
And as far as anti-feminist... big whoop. If my daughters want to marry it, they are welcome to do it. A lot easier to marry it than earn it themselves... just ask the wife (don't tell her I said that)
I agree with this. It's one thing to express your opinions and you deserve to be respected even if people disagree BUT this crosses a line. This is a disney board for disney fans, so for you to post on such a board like this and say people are "brainwashed to think disney is amazing" is a very rude comment to make. This probably isn't the board for you.
I've had enough of this thread and won't be reading any more of it, the most negative thread I've read on disboards so far.
