Why are you wary of going solo ? Is it any particular reason or just a feeling ?

I have travelled solo so many times abroad where I don't speak the language that I've lost count so I'd have no problems say in going to Disney Tokyo on my own :goodvibes

If you've been to DLP before and always had a good experience why would it be different going on your own ?

I know that I speak French so that makes things easier but I often go spend the day at DLP on my own and just wander around soaking up the atmosphere, doing the odd ride and just enjoy being there.

So I'd say go for it :thumbsup2

I can't say that I've done it solol before but I remember a trip report a while ago posted by a woman who went on her own. She was so sweet bless her, she took a tri-pod stand so she could have pictures taken of herself infront of the castle ect, sounds similar to me lol.
I'll try and have a look for you

I went for 2 nights on my own in June, instead of the 4 I had planned with my family. (Sis in law got sick and they had to cancel)
Anyway, it is the sort of place that it is hard not to smile in. The parades were amazing, and I got such a kick out of seeing all the tiny princesses. :) and there is something quite lovely about watching people just join in with the dancing and singing without inhibitions. The Cast members were also amazing with small children. So patient.
The queues weren't too bad either.
I really mainly went to activate my annual pass, get some Disney souvenirs for the kids, and do a bit of a recce , so I could go again when things got better with SIL.

To be honest I found it a bit lonely. It was busy, but the crowds really seemed to be mainly europeans. I don't think I heard anyone speaking english apart from when I met up with a lovely lady to give her my buffalo bill tickets.
I speak a little french, so tried to use it when interacting with CMs (don't want to forget everything) so maybe it was partly my own fault. Plus I was worried about SIL.

The comparison when I went at the beginning of this week, (Just got back!) was huge. I had an amazing time. :yay: and I think a lot of that was having someone to share the experience with. It's generally a nice place, but sharing the fun triples the enjoyment!
If you are happy pottering about on your own, then go for it.

Having done a solo trip once all I can say is it is different! The pluses are being able to wander at leisure and take in in all those minute details without being rushed on to the next ride or show and also being able to take as much time as you want in the boutiques without feeling guilty or being pestered to buy every other item. I am not a fan of dining alone so did not enjoy that as much. Chatting about the food and things generally adds so much to the atmosphere of the meal although I was perfectly happy to eat breakfast on my own in the hotel dining room at my own pace and time. I also felt slightly awkward going solo on some of the rides, particularly those aimed at younger children. One thing that did surprise me was that even if I was at the head of a queue to sit in the prime first row seat of rides such as IASW and POTC I was always placed further back. I asked about it once and was just told that it was because I was only one person but I didn’t really see why that should make any difference. Not worth making a fuss about though. On the other hand, having a hotel room and bathroom all to myself was sheer indulgence!

I went on my own to pass the time in an enjoyable way after travelling with my daughter who was going on somewhere. Basically, I enjoyed it and would do it again in similar circumstances but find sharing the experience so much more fun overall.
