The product that both BA and VS use to Orlando tends to be a little less nice than the product used on "premium" routes. If you really want to get a great experience out of it, see if you can get a good deal with a connection in Miami, because Miami gets the premium planes with the newest product, unlike Orlando.

Virgin and BA blow Delta out of the water. Delta has a sadly outdated product, except for one dozen 764s and 777s in a new lie-flat configuration.

The nearest to MCO a Virgin A380 will get is Miami.

The A380s will be based at Heathrow, not Gatwick.

Actually not. The A380 will replace the two daily flights from Gatwick to orlando. there is not enough passenger requirement at Heathrow/Miami for an A380

Hi there!
Have never flown Upper Class, but I definately prefer Virgin!
I have been to WDW a few times on my own, and had a brilliant time!! Cast Members are always happy to have a chat, and I also find that Americans are really really friendly, and love chatting to us Brits!!
Have a brilliant time :-)

I know people say the Orlando route is second best to the 'real premium routes but to me, having just 14 suites in a cabin, versus treble that, lends itself to a more personal and premium service. I only fly on the Gatwick planes, I have no intention of returning to Miami (done it once, never again), yes, the clubhouse and cabin are on a smaller scale but I prefer that.

Now, one of my colleagues has just flown back on a 'second best' route, this is a guy who flies many times a year in UC (at least twice a month), it was his first time on a Gatwick plane and he was very very impressed, so much so I typed a letter for him today congratulating Virgin on a superb product and suggesting the routes he flies regularly on (i.e. from Heathrow) could learn a thing or 2! This is a guy who never sings anyones praise, so I think that speaks volumes.

Um, there certainly is. It's a huge route, and a premium route. Virgin has more competition from American, British and other European carriers than at Orlando. The local market between Miami and Europe is 80% larger than Orlando and Europe.

The A380 will be based at London Heathrow and will not be used to Orlando.

In 2008, 1.02M people flew between Miami and London, compared to .826M between Orlando and London.

Hi, we've never flown Virgin Upper Class but we have flown BA club World and it is amazing. Everything form the lounge to the champagne when you board to the bed, to the food is utterly amazing. To put it simply I've never fallen asleep on a plane before this flight and in Club World I slept for 4 hours.

We use a BA Amex to collect BA miles and frequently fly with BA domestically so for us we would always go BA and use our Airmiles to offset some of the cost.

I was the opposite, I always sleep in economy but didn't want to in Biz class, enjoyed it too much to sleep thru it:rotfl:
