Way low. I think it said like 82 calories for me after 40 minutes the other day and my heart rate monitor said 347. So I wore it while I did a few things on Wii Fit Plus and it was 1 calorie lower than my hrm each time. Much better. I'll just be sure to wear my hrm everytime I do BL Wii. No biggie.

Just called the Movie Gallery that's on my way home, and had them hold it for me 'til I get out of work. Excited to try this out, but since I am not a huge video game person I'm leery of buying one before trying it. Hope it kicks my butt too! :thumbsup2
 
I heard the jillian michaels one wasn't that great.

Just like any fitness game, it's how much you put into it. A jumping jack can be done just to do or done all out, so it's up to you!

The Jillian Michaels 2009 was crap, so I've heard. She even stated that she had nothing to do with it. Heard much better stuff about the 2010 game that she was really involved in.

I started the BL Wii game and that's pretty good. Need more time to get used to it. The EA Sports Active More Workouts is really good with a lot of variety.
 
Ok, so call me naive, but I actually got eliminated today. So, I had to start over again. This time, I picked an 8-week mid-level regiment. I did the first routine today and did ok with it. I worked up a sweat, that's for sure. Some of the moves were a little too much for me. I couldn't get the rhythm right. I'll keep at it. I'm hoping to lose the 14 pounds it said I would in the next 8 weeks.

No way!!! What level were you on? I came up for elimination this last week but the other person was eliminated. I'm on the beginning level.

I was doing a beginning, 4-week plan. I was so surprised. Now, I'm doing the middle level and for 8 weeks. This time around, though, I'm staying on top of it. Thanks to all the help on this thread, I've really figured out how to check my calendar, etc. I started again on Monday and worked out again today using the game. I also got in some exercise yesterday. I'm hoping that with getting in all the COWs, Weight Watchers, and other exercise, plus Wii BL, I won't be eliminated for a few weeks.

lol thanks! I skipped today, wonder if I'll be below the dreaded yellow line Saturday? I still can't believe that I can be eliminated.:scared1:
 
I weighed-in today, but there was no elimination. That's too bad because I wouldn't have fallen below the yellow line this week. According to to Wii BL, I've lost 7 pounds in just over a week. WW says 5. I hope I haven't lost 2 pounds in 2 days. Well, that would be nice. But 7 pounds in less than 10 days, sounds pretty high.

Hope no one else gets eliminated!
 
I tried this game last night for the first time and I have a question about the weight. When I weigh using the WiiFit, it tells me I am 155.8, when I weigh in BL, it says 157.

Is it just because of the clothing choice in wiifit? Or could the variance be that I need to change the batteries in the balance board?

I did the intermediate level and hooboy it was NOT easy! All those tricep dips that low to the ground...I wanted to cry. Sure am feeling it today in my shoulders and my abs due to the planks. It's a good feeling though!
 
Thinking about getting this game. I have hit a wall with my weight loss and need something! I have my WATP DVD's and the Slim in 6 DVD's, which I do like both but they dont push me to keep doing it. I love BL the show and think this might help. I am 30lbs down with another 30 to go, so I would love reach that quicker and get in shape. I dont have the Wii board so I wonder how much of a difference it makes?????

I think you'll be fine without the board. At the beginning you have the option to use the board or do it without it, and a lot of the exercises don't use the board anyway. Hope that helps!
 
Next time I do a workout, I'm going to try it without the balance board as I kept getting frustrated having to use it and put it away. They say don't wear sneakers on it but I find some of the exercises difficult to do without sneakers.
 
Yes that would get annoying to keep putting it away. I have enough room that I do the exercises behind the balance board, so I don't actually have to move it. I think that would drive me nuts after a few times. I also wear my shoes on the balance board and have never had any problems - I know it says step on w/o shoes but I have plantar fasc. and always wear shoes. It seems to work fine...:confused3
 
I have just bought this but haven't used it yet. How often during the game do you weight in??

Also can you not use the board for the workouts but use it for the weight ins?

I got this game for Christmas but hadn't used it as I was in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Well I had the baby 2.5 weeks ago and started the game yesterday. I weighed myself at WW so I ahven't used the game weigh in but I did the short workout yesterday (12 minutes) and the hang glider/balloon axe challenge with cool down tonight. Tonights challenge was a great workout! And I won :cool1:
