Hoooray, you started on your December trip!!

I ALWAYS forget something when I leave the house! I am constantly turning around, its so frustrating!!

Your trip got off to a great start with getting the view you requested! We spent a lot of time at that computer pool on our January trip! We were closer to the Hippy Dippy pool, but we liked this one because it was quieter. I can see the spot we always set up our lounge chairs in your picture.

I've never seen the floppy disks from that angle, very cute! What is on top of the stack? I see an umbrella?

Can't wait to read more! I love Christmas at Disney World!!! :santa:

BONUS!!! So excited!!!
I wish I were staying at POP! when I am back in May - but have to stay at a sponsor resort - ALL Star Sports - whoohooo:sad2:

Yay!! A bonus update!! :cool1:

Don't you hate getting on the road and having to turn around! Argh! It's the worst!

Hahah...I had a box of all of our Disney paperwork too!! I just went through it and threw it out (I was nesting...LOL). But I've had it for like 3 years and I just added any paperwork into it after each trip. It's not like I NEED that paperwork! And like I had all the maps etc. Like 4 of each park! I KNOW the parks' lay outs...I don't need the maps!! LOL

We always forget something! :headache: I'm glad it's never been anything terribly important, like socks..

Of course you NEED that paperwork!! :rolleyes1 You wouldn't believe how many maps we have around here. I make a point to grab a times guide every park day, and the boys must have a map! I currently have THREE MK maps on my desk from last month. Ya know, in case I forget where the castle is. ;) I wish I could bring myself to toss some of that stuff out!

Yay for a December trip update! With the exception of the forgotten things delay, looks like a good start! And I'm glad you got the view you requested. I didn't know they made the folders smaller. That's good, though. We have them tossed in a "Disney bag" here. Must get rid of some of these things, though. Looking forward to hearing more!

Yay for another Disney stuff hoarder! This was the first time I've ever seen the smaller folders. CSR gave us the same last month, too. They're kinda cute, which sounds odd to admit..

We were happy for that view, too. I felt bad for doubting our room assigner. It was perfect. :thumbsup2

As cute as the 60's pool is, this one was super quiet! We didn't swim this trip. I was sooo upset about the nice weather we had! Crazy, right? For our "Christmas" visit, I was hoping for cooler temps and long sleeves. I'd even gotten the boys cute Disney stuff to wear because it had just been kinda chilly here. Then we get sunshine and shorts weather?? Florida stinks.

You got me with the umbrella comment. I didn't even notice it! Is that a laundry building? I've never been in it, but I'll definitely be checking next time.

BONUS!!! So excited!!!
I wish I were staying at POP! when I am back in May - but have to stay at a sponsor resort - ALL Star Sports - whoohooo:sad2:

Is Sports that bad?? I thought it looked kinda cute when I was checking out pics before. Blake really wants to stay there now, so I was hoping to fit it in sometime. I've been trying to find group schedule so it might be a little calmer anyway. Disney is still better than home, IMO, no matter the resort. You'll still have bunches of fun!! :thumbsup2

Hopping back in the car, we drove over to DTD and found a full parking lot at the marketplace. Isn’t that how it always goes? I don’t care much for DTD due to that lot alone. We cruised around a bit and eventually found a place near T-Rex. It was meant to be. Walking by T-Rex inspired us all. We made plans to check it out, and finally picked a theme to redecorate the boys’ room. We’ve gone dinosaur crazy since, and have the restaurant and “build-a-dino” in the plans for the birthday trip.

Did I mention we ate at Pop Century before going to DTD? No? Well, we did. This trip is pure memory, so might skip stuff. I have no notes. ;) Wish we hadn’t eaten yet. I keep forgetting I want to try Earl of Sandwich, too!

Anyway... We didn’t have much of a plan for DTD, beyond a “super important” stop in the Lego store. At first, I wasn’t let in on why this was so “super important” but guessed it would be fun to play for a while. We browsed around and looked at all the cute displays..

Moooooo..

Andrew and Blake directed us into the little playing room, where we would spend much of the rest of the evening. My boys had a fun time creating things with the million legos left on the tables.

I mostly watched my babies, but they were lost to their Lego projects and didn't want mommy help. I soon found myself entertaining someone else’s little one instead. A baby girl was sitting in her stroller while her family was busy with their lego constructing. I felt bad for how she was being ignored and played peek-a-boo for a bit. Her smile was too cute! As she giggled at our game, her excited little arm knocked a bottle from the tray. Uh oh.. We all know what’s going to happen next!

I picked up the bottle for her and a new game was born.. She looked up at me with that huge gummy grin and looked at the bottle again. I could see the light bulb moment in her eyes as the smile grew. She picked up her chubby little arm and knocked her bottle to the floor! Silly baby.. This one could’ve gone on for ages, but it rolled under her father’s chair. He was completely clueless until I pointed it out what was going on. Daddy must really like his Legos! It was kinda weird. Poor baby anyway.. I hope she wasn’t so ignored the rest of their trip.

Eventually my new little friend would have to say bye-bye and I was back to my boys. John had been sitting near a table of Duplo blocks, thinking Blake would be most interested in these. He liked it for a bit, but soon decided they were the "baby" blocks and left to join Andrew. It didn’t seem that any of the children would dare be caught playing with those, opting for the “big kid” legos instead. No problem. If they didn’t want them, John and I would have fun. We set to work, racing to construct a huge block of blocks. We had a pretty awesome time.

DSC02910.jpg

You can see how proud he is, can't you? He finished his side of Duplos before I was done with mine!

This is why everyone goes to Disney World, right? Disney Legos must be made of magic. They were much more entertaining than the blocks the boys have at home anyway. We had a tough time finally moving out of here!

DSC02920.jpg

Back in the store, the boys went to work on that “super important” mission again. I was let in on the secret when my little men couldn’t hold it in anymore. They were buying a stocking stuffer for me! In the Lego store?? I admit to being a bit confused until I was needed to help find it. I wasn't much help and we did end up asking a CM for assistance. I loved when the CM asked Andrew if this was for him.

“Nope! My mom loves Darth Vader!”

vader.jpg

Cute, right? Lego Darth Vader is awesome and I loved it. The boys made it clear that I couldn’t even think of having it until Christmas, so I tried to make a few deals to get it earlier. They were so proud of picking something I must want so much! Such sweet little men..

After our Lego fun, we spent a while shopping and wandering DTD. World of Disney was packed. Big shocker, right?

DSC02924.jpg

One of our next day goals is to meet Santa Claus at the MK. After seeing his cute home set up here, we almost skipped that plan for now instead. I added it to the “just in case” file should MK Santa not work out. We’d have Sunday to work with, too.

DSC02925.jpg

It was a fun, if uneventful evening. I wish I'd taken some notes, because I really don't remember a lot of our DTD experience.

DSC02927.jpg

In time, we needed to get back to Pop. It was early, but that was all part of the plan. I had debated about doing MVMCP this evening, but I'm glad we didn't. On Andrew's school schedule, the boys wouldn't have lasted late enough for it.

Back in the room, ABC Family was running Christmas shows, so we all got ready for bed and snuggled in to watch. "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" was on, and it's one of my absolute favorites! It might have something to do with the fact that Mrs Claus is named "Jessica" in this one. ;) It was fun evening!

Funny how the Disney Legos are so magical! Very sweet gift the boys picked out for you! Too bad you didn't get to try Earl of Sandwich, though...yum!

Yay, going to read your new updates soon but wanted to post first.

I like that trick with pretending to hear something with Blake, I may have to try that.

The 'free dining' offers we get here are different to the US ones. On the dates they are valid for, we get free quick service staying at the moderates and free dining plan staying at the deluxes. We don't get anything staying at a value. An offer they have had the last 2 or 3 years is free dining and 40% off at Old Key West and Saratoga Springs. We are really hoping they do this again next year so we can stay at Saratoga.

If they have this, the plan is to get a 2 bed and 2 studios. My sister, her fiance and 2 kids will stay in 1 studio, the 4 of us and my parents in the 2 bed along with my brother and his wife for 1 week and my other sister and her boyfriend for the 2nd. They will have the other studio for a week each as one of these couples will be on the pullout sofa in the 2 bed living room. Phew!

This works out the cheapest for us as the cost of the rooms would be divided by the 5 couples. If this offer isn't on though it is too expensive and we would have to look offsite, either at a house or a Marriott is my sisters BF still works there as he can get good discounts.

Off to get my littlest's bottle ready then I can read your updates.

(Sorry for the long post!)

The boys look so grown up. I can't believe it was 5 months since your last visit - that must have felt like forever for you and your family.

I love DTD. I think it's how pretty it is at night all lit up. Glad you got your room request too. Hope you have a pic of the cube lit up.

Can't wait for more.

Sorry about taking so long to answer. I had to go back to the real world and worked the last 4 days straight. Anyway....On Feb 23rd we went first to Animal Kingdom for a while and then ended up at Magic Kingdom when the parade was on. Now for what happened. I have hurt my ankle many times in my life and it was acting up as were my knees so I rented a scooter for the trip. I had some issues when my son was at the Daytona 500 being alone at the parks on a scooter trying to ride rides. The thing that has ruined my entire trip and has made me possibly not want to go back was a DVC tour I took. I wrote a very long email to WDW when I got back and its been a week and I have had no response.

Now as for you....I am so glad you are going back. You have to come visit if I go back for the MNSSHP this year. I would love to meet you guys. I love Pop too. They were the one saving grace during this trip. I actually paid preferred pool view and love love love it :worship: I may do a dining report if I can remember how to do photobucket lol.

I love your block tower!!!!! John looks so proud! :thumbsup2

Too cute with the Darth Vadar keychain!!

I can't believe how big the boys are in these pictures...especially Andrew!

I LOVE Santa Clause is Comin' to Town!!!! Al those classic Christmas shows are amazing! :santa:

Sounds like a fun night!

Even with the slow start to the trip, it sounds like everything was great once you arrived at Disney. Going under that sign can have that effect sometimes.

Parking at DTD is the worst, but it's so much fun once you're there. How sweet of the boys to pick out a Christmas gift for you!

Being at Disney is the whole point. Sports is my least fav of all the value resorts....maybe a little boy would love it more!

Next time, right? I hope we make it there during the birthday trip. I really enjoyed the boat ride from POR to DTD, so it should work somehow. :thumbsup2

Yikes.. That's a lot of planning to think about! My family would be doomed before we started! I do hope everything works out for you. I can't even imagine how much work it is to coordinate such a big trip for so many people!

That listening thing with Blake is one of my favorites. You have to be super quiet to hear it. ;)

It really wasn't that bad. With all of Andrew's school stuff, I felt too busy to fit Disney in at times. I think we needed a break to actually miss WDW, too.

Almost everything at Disney looks so magical at night with all those lights. I wish we stayed a little later sometimes. I do have a cube pic coming up!

Yikes. I hope Disney gets back to you soon, but don't think they're simply ignoring you. I think they stink at replying quickly, no matter the issue. (I think it took a week or two to get a reply about our CBR stay & the expired candy was even longer.) Hope whatever it is gets resolved for you.

I can imagine being on a scooter in the parks must be crazy. It does look like we were at MK at the same time though. Too bad that we didn't meet up. Glad you liked your room though!

Let me know if you start a dining report. I wanna read! popcorn::

Making that tower was ridiculously fun! Each side of the table was full of Duplos, so I wanted to use every one of them. I have no idea how we started racing at it.

Do the boys really look that much older? I didn't think they changed much from July, but the comments make me feel like I missed something!

Santa Claus is Comin' to Town is the best! Only The Christmas Story and Charlie Brown come close to beating it. They had the Miser brothers and that Tim Allen Santa movie on, too. It was a fun ending to the day. It wasn't super "Disney" but still perfect. We were all soo ready for Christmas to get here! :thumbsup2

Parking at DTD is the worst, but it's so much fun once you're there. How sweet of the boys to pick out a Christmas gift for you!

I was surprised with how much we were affected by those signs this time. After passing them so many times, they really weren't a big deal anymore when our last AP year ended. I loved having that feeling back!

That DTD parking lot is awful! I think it makes me love POR even more, just for the boat instead. :thumbsup2

That gift was perfect. I carry the little guy everywhere now. :goodvibes

Being at Disney is the whole point. Sports is my least fav of all the value resorts....maybe a little boy would love it more!

It was never on my list at all so I totally see why it wouldn't be your first choice! So long as we can avoid the sports groups, it'll be perfect for the kids. Blake wants a football building. :thumbsup2 Hope you have a good time, even at the least fav resort.

I did start a dining review last night so come on over :). They actually did send me an email today and I am going to call them tomorrow. Hopefully they will fix the problem.

Love the Christmas present!! Darth Vader IS awesome!! Your boys are so cute to have that whole plan! I'm impressed they didn't forget the plan after having so much fun with the legos
Man! I love boys! I'm so excited that I get one!!

Oh and I agree! DTD is beautiful at night!! We always end up there in the evenings and it's just so pretty and somehow it's peaceful even when busy...except in World of Disney...that store is just nuts!

I really want to stay at POR JUST for the DTD boat! It takes forever on a bus no matter what resort we're coming from. We'd probably go down there a lot more on a trip if it was easier. There were a few nights this trip that we probably would have gone down there if it was going to be a quick trip. But the thought of the 30-45 min bus trip killed the plan every time. We did go a few times that I had planned out but none of the last minute "where do we wanna eat" times.

Is it too late to say Happy St Patrick's Day? We celebrate that for some reason. :confused3 It was fun anyway and I do so like the color green. :thumbsup2 John even made corned beef & cabbage for dinner. Ick! The boys loved the stuff, despite my hoping they wouldn't. (I didn't want to have it again next year!) Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I love my little keychain! I have such sweet men. Boys are the best and yours' will be here so soon! :woohoo:

I can't wait to get back to POR again. I've never done buses, but some of the DTD bus stories I read are nuts! I can see not wanting to bother with that mess.

Cute picture! Happy (late) St. Patrick's Day!! I'm not a corned beef and cabbage fan either....ick! Sounds like you better learn to like it though! :)

Just got caught back up.

I read the whole Sleepy Hollow experience. People can get crazy sometimes. I love Disney, but there are definitely moments where people just get nutty in general. I was thinking the same thing you did and would have busted out my receipt too.

I can't believe how big the boys look in their updated photos! It's crazy how fast time goes by.

I guess so. Thank goodness it's only once a year. I told John to start making it every night though. I might finally stick to losing some weight. All I did was eat a couple bites of the cabbage that night!

Disney makes it easy to forgive and forget.. Well, not forget but still. The receipt thing was so wild, but fun to prove her wrong, too.

& Thanks! They are really growing fast. Blake just made it over 39inches and Andrew looks like a different boy to me at times. It goes so so fast..

Very cute St. Patrick's Day picture! :)

Thanks! You can see John fell back into the antenna topper thing. On a walk this evening, one of those Super Mickey type toppers was spotted on a car down the street! We convinced ourselves it was just a coincidence, of course. Ours' has been missing for ages, but it was a little nuts to see one so close!

Happy Easter!!

CIMG7957.jpg

Hope everyone out there has a wonderful holiday! After seeing the crazy bunny at the mall, we ran off to WDW to see their Easter Bunny last weekend. (Or was it the weekend before..?) So much cuter! Sorry for taking so long to get this little bonus weekend finished, but I promise to be back to it soon. I've been working on it tonight! :thumbsup2
