There was nothing boring about this update, it looks like a great evening!!! The pictures on the keyboard are a GREAT idea!!

This update got me really excited because we just decided to stay at Pop for our January trip! We were going to go Moderate, but we have a specific budget and my dad decided that if we came in significantly under then he would take us to the beach for the rest of the week...sooo, Pop it is!!!

Another great update! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pics of the boys with their names on the keyboard! I'm totally stealing that idea for Olivia and I's girls trip next month! When we stayed at Pop in December we took a bit of time one afternoon to walk around the resort and explore and take pics. It was really nice after staying there so many times before and not taking the time. I hope Andrew feels better after a good nights sleep and you can have a great time at DHS!

I LOVE how they spelled their names out - I notice how Andrew made sure he posed differently in every picture! I so have to do that on my next trip to Pop! (which may be in January 2012)

I didn't think it was boring at all!! I LOVE the pictures with their names! I think Andrew and I will have to steal your idea when we go next time. It's looking like we're going to go in the end of Jan. I'm buying plane tickets tomorrow and then I guess it'll be official. :thumbsup2

Now I just have to book a room/package. I just feel a little weird about it though. I'm excited but a little concerned that we won't enjoy it as much. I'm sure we will, it's just that there are so many other things and places I want to see and do, but every time I have sat down to plan a trip somewhere else all I can think about is how I would rather just go to Disney again. :confused3 So that's what we're going to do! DH (and I) want to see WWoHP over at Universal so we're probably going to do 2 days at Universal and 5 at Disney. So that will be something new to do.

Anyway...that was kinda off topic...back to your TR! :surfweb:

I know exactly how you feel. ;) I know you'll still have an awesome time, too! The Disney addiction is impossible to resist.. Adding Universal will give it something extra special and no two trips are the same anyway. Right? I'm not a HP fan really, but I'd love to see all the new stuff. :goodvibes

Looks like a great evening (except for how Andrew was feeling). Such cute pics around Pop! As many times as we stayed there, we still missed seeing a lot of that stuff. Great idea to have them spell out their names on the keyboard...love it! Sorry you had a non-magical CM at check-in. Hope the rest of the stay goes well!

It was a great evening! Pop doesn't have much, but what's there is too cute.

That CM didn't hurt our day. I wonder why he's such a grouch though. Maybe it's just us? :confused3 Even the PPF "It's all the same line!" guy looks cheerful now and then. I did tell John we'll let someone go in front of us at Pop if we happen to get him again! ;)

I loved the 80's section when we stayed there in February. It was in the Roger Rabbit section. I love how you spelled out their names on the keyboard. This time we requested the 60's section since my son won't be there to run back and forth to fill our mugs. It is a mother/daughter trip for her 15th birthday :scared1:

This is my favorite part of the resort! :thumbsup2 I would pick 80's & 90's every visit, if I could. 60's will definitely be nice if you're going back & forth with mugs. Are you booked preferred? We loved our room in the 60's, over the pool. It's so cute! Hope you both have a great time on her birthday visit. It's so soon!! :yay:

I loved your post! The few times we have stayed at Pop Century, we have never taken the time to really look around. We are missing out on a lot!

I think it is so adorable that Blake is doing his Mickey Mouse pose in almost every picture! Cute!!!

He loves that Mickey pose! The only where he didn't was because I asked him about it. Next letter, he was right back at it!

Pop is still lots of fun! Who needs a Mod if you're going to get an actual beach anyway! That sounds like so much fun.. Or would if I was beach loving kind of girl. ;) My family would be thrilled anyway! They want to go to the beach every week. Andrew was talking to his grandpa recently and says, "If it's hot, what else are you gonna do? Go to the beach!" You'll have an awesome trip! Which one are you going to??

Yay! I love when something silly we do inspires others to try it, too. I can't wait to see pics!! I really wish I'd thought to do this along with the annual Potato Head pics. How cute would that be to watch them grow up??

He was dancing! Andy-Roo has some odd moves.. :rotfl: Yay for the Jan 12 trip! Is that your next right now? I'll be so jealous and missing Mickey sooo much then!!

Right now, that is my next trip in the works. I have set a goal for myself to run in the 5K during Marathon weekend......:scared1:

It was my favorite part too. Love the music. We did book preferred with the pool view. I can't believe she is so old and she is the baby lol. It is 56 days away!! :dance3::dance3:

I love the pictures of the boys spelling out their names. I'd like to try that someday with mine. I've spent a pleasant night at Pop Century myself. I think if you've got a kid who isn't feeling great, then it's best to take things easy.

You can do it!! I wish I was into stuff like that. It sounds awesome! :thumbsup2

I don't even want to think about either of mine turning 15 right now. I can see lots of tears around then. I'm still not sure how Blake is three already?? ::confused: It goes waayyy toooo fast, right??

You'd think everyone would think that way, huh? ;)

Pop is great. I loved that it wasn't too wild that evening. Sometimes it seems so busy, but we rarely saw another guest that day. :)

 We are no longer passholders!!

John is giving me two months before I can't handle it anymore, but I think we'll be okay. We had a great last visit! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about your last visit....well...maybe I can. Take your time! I don't want the TR to end! :sad2:

Good luck! :goodvibes

Not sure if you saw it in my TR yet, but we finally broke down the other day (after 7 months) and booked a trip in October. Not sure if we're actually going to do it, but we wanted to lock in the free dining offer we got as a possibility. We haven't been on any vacations this year, we're getting desperate! :sad2:

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your Passholder year, though. I don't want it to end, either!

I. will. not. cave. :rolleyes1

Seriously, I am going to try not to get another set. Halloween and Christmas just won't be the same without it though...

This TR feels like it's never going to end right now! I never seem to have much time to update it. We finish with forty days for this AP year. Still lots to come!

We each got another set of "Don't leave meee!!" Mickey letters on the day they expired! I'm just stacking them on his desk for now.. "No, honey. I'm not hinting at anything.." :rolleyes1 Disney isn't going anywhere.

I saw your update last night!! :yay::yay::yay: I meant to go back & show Andrew your new movie and totally forgot today. He loves them! :thumbsup2 I can't beleive it's been seven months! Locking in the free dining is the smart thing to do, right? Can't wait to see what you decide!

February 16th, 2011 * day twenty-two

CIMG6586.jpg

That crazy phone started ringing way too early again. I fell for the usual routine at first. Pick it up. Put it down. No more noise, but lots of sleep ahead of me. As I’m always in charge of alarm duties, it’s amazing my husband ever makes it to work before noon.

I closed my eyes and began to drift back to dreamland. The bright red light on the alarm clock didn’t support my plans. It glared at me, seeming to grow brighter with each passing second. Even with my eyes closed tight, I could feel those angry numbers. I didn’t last a full minute before I was in the shower. We had early morning DHS plans!

When we were all up and John was off to collect coffee and juice, the boys and I started making plans. Andrew seemed back to normal, just as I’d hoped. I suggested he try Jedi training again, but he wasn’t interested. He protested with... Philharmagic?

As we passed by the day before, I had asked if they wanted to see it. Andrew was no longer a fan and told me we “always” do that. Never believe him when the word “always” is involved. We really don’t, but it was fine. It was skipped and not a big deal to anyone. Or so I thought.

Andrew went on to tell me of his crazy Philharmagic dream now and how he reeeeeally needed to take me to MK again today. Still in my Disney slump, I didn’t really care much either way. I found it cute how he insisted he was "taking me" to MK no matter what. When Blake heard this mentioned, it was all he wanted, too. So much for DHS!

Back to MK! We really spend too much time there..

CIMG6587.jpg

On the monorail in plenty of time, I thought we might just lucky and see the welcome show again. “Further traffic” was working against and crushed that idea fast. We seemed to be stopped repeatedly, and knew it wasn’t going to happen. Next Time!

CIMG6588.jpg

The wait on the monorail did prove entertaining anyway. A man was standing just in front of stroller and talking on a cell phone. Do you really need to be that loud? He was having a rough time with all these strollers at Disney and full of complaints. Despite getting on the monorail after us, he pretended not to know the stroller was there at time to leave. It was funny. He let out a big annoyed sigh at the sight of our little single Aria and glared down at Blakers. My sweet little guy just smiled. I couldn’t help myself and laughed. He didn’t like that. Oh well. Hope he had a magical day! ;)

CIMG6602.jpg

Can you guess where we went first?

CIMG6605.jpg

We’re nothing if not predictable. There wasn’t a line at all, so we could’ve run right on. The boys were distracted by something new to us first, so we stopped to play instead. We’d never been in the standby line when this part was open.

CIMG6612.jpg

CIMG6613.jpg

It’s cute, but much of this stuff is a little too difficult for them. Pulling the rope for gopher is even worse.

We played and had fun for a while.

CIMG6618.jpg

CIMG6620.jpg

CIMG6627.jpg

John had a great time figuring out “Mary Had A Little Lamb” on those veggie horns. I’m not sure who I had more trouble pulling away from this to actually get on the ride!

CIMG6637.jpg

CIMG6640.jpg

Despite the pic, there was no “Hooray!” this time. Pooh must’ve thought they deserved a break after the double the day before.

CIMG6643.jpg

We decided to check the Dumbo wait first, but it was nuts. That one would be skipped for now. Blake enjoyed the Seven Dwarfs on the wall anyway.

CIMG6647.jpg

He insisted on posing beside each and every one of them!

The Dumbo check wasn’t a total waste. We’d never have been in this area without it, and were now able to meet some fun new characters. The boys were thrilled to add these two to their autograph books!

CIMG6661.jpg

John had officially become the autograph man, an important title created by Andrew. He held the books and joined the fun at the end. Offering one of our three Disney pens, Pinocchio motioned it away. He turned to a ledge on the building and used a boring pen of his own. How odd. I asked Geppetto if a regular pen was easier for them, but his response seemed to indicate it didn’t matter either way.

CIMG6664.jpg

“Bet he’s just glad it’s not a pencil!” my husband laughed.

Huh? I can see he’s trying to make a joke, but I didn’t get it. Geppetto covered his mouth and bounced a bit, apparently laughing. Pinocchio didn’t respond.

“He’s made of wood, honey.”

Geppetto gave him a thumbs up sign. Now I get it. He seemed to find my cluelessness even funnier. So I’m slow.. But I still don’t find it very funny!

We said goodbye and were on our way. John quickly noticed Lady Tremaine and her lovely daughters were out, so we moved in that direction. Unfortunately, they were just leaving. We paused and watched them shoo away guests rushing up anyway. It must be fun to have such attitude and get away with it. They’re too funny.

Good or bad, the routine continued. We enjoyed all of our FL favorites, including that much needed Philharmagic show.

Before long it was lunchtime.

And this is where the routine died!

Coming soon!! Something new! Seriously!

Woah! Something new?? I'M excited!! :thumbsup2

Cute pic of Blake sleeping! I love that he's snuggling his Eeyore. So sweet!

I also love how Andrew is holding his hand under the fastpass slot to catch it. I always do this too even though it has a little catcher thingy and they aren't gonna drop to the floor. It's kinda funny.

(oh yay! We're still at day 22! That means I still have half a a TR to enjoy before it all ends! I bet you're kinda tired of it though. I never realized how hard it is to keep up with one of these until I started my own. They're hard work! But fun cause you get to remember all the fun times while you write.:thumbsup2)

Haha, I love the stroller hating guy!!! Honestly, what did he expect to happen at Disney World??? Blake smiling at him must have been the last straw!! :rotfl:

Sounds like a fun day so far....I can't wait to hear what you did that was new!??!

Also, to answer a previous question...I am having a VERY hard time choosing a beach! So many choices! My dad narrowed it down by saying he wants to go to one on the Atlantic....we are thinking of doing Disney Vero Beach because we know that we can expect quality from them, but I'm not completely set on it yet! Any suggestions??

I'm sorry to hear your passes ran out, although it's true that Disney will still be there. I think it would be Halloween and Christmas that would be the hardest to miss out on.

It's so funny that you all ended up back at MK to see Philharmagic. The boys look like they are having a great day, doing all their favorite things. I love the picture of Blake sleeping. They always look so cute when they sleep.

Something new! For real even! Maybe I'll get to that later. ;)

I love that pic of Blake with his Eeyore. :) It's adorable how he picked it on his first bday trip and it's been the favorite cuddle toy ever since. It always makes me smile to sneak in to check on him at night and see Eeyore in his arms. :)

I think I might do this at the FP machines sometimes, too! :rolleyes1 The purpose is totally different for the boys though. This is a blocking tactic to stop the other brother from stealing your FP collection turn!

And TRs can be a bit of work sometimes! When it's a day that I'm not particularly thrilled about, I do feel trapped in the neverending story anyway. (Minus all the cool stuff from the movie..)

Stroller guy was great because of Blake's smile! He's so shy that this was hilarious. In that monorail pic, you can see that he was even facing Blakers at first. Then he pretends like he didn't know it was there? What a nut!

Have fun picking a beach! I'm no help, especially since you want the other side of the state. We just go to the beaches around here because they're so close. I think I'm supposed to tell you we have the most awesomest beaches in all of Florida and change your mind anyway? There used to be a radio ad about that. They're pretty quiet and clean. I don't think they're the coolest for shells though. The boys find sand dollars and some nifty ones, but they're all the same to me. John and I liked to run off to Venice before kids. He'd always find shark teeth which was pretty awesome. I'm hoping a visit to Siesta Key sometime since everyone goes on about how nice it is. Have fun picking something out!

my favorite beach pic so far this year ;)

Yeah, I only miss WDW when I think about it anyway. ;) I'm holding onto plans for MNSSHP if it works into Andrew's schedule. Disney is such a safe and fun thing to do for halloween since I'm not big on the idea of real trick-or-treating.

Definitely adorable when they sleep!

The purpose is totally different for the boys though. This is a blocking tactic to stop the other brother from stealing your FP collection turn!

Hahaha! Of course, why didn't I think of that?? Also, I just realized that I said it was Andrew at the FP machine...it's not...it's Blake! He's so grown up looking! Good grief!

Such a cute pic of Blake with his Eeyore! The Pooh queue looks cool. We saw it from the Fast Pass line on our last trip, but didn't actually get to try it. Very cool character meet also! Can't wait to find out what new thing you did!

I knew what you meant! ;) I can't count the number of times I confuse their names everyday.. and I'm kinda the mom? He is looking more like a little boy and not my baby!

The day was going really well! I was still a little concerned about Andrew, but we were having a nice problem-free MK morning. :thumbsup2

New thing coming up! I'll warn you, it's crazy exciting stuff.
