love the Lotso picture! I wish we had taken that picture, but the line was too long when we there.
Great job on the Pooh picture! :thumbsup2

Why does Lotso have to be a bad guy? Anybody who smells like strawberries and likes to hug shouldn't be a villain. They just shouldn't.

I thought it was funny when Blake got Shan Yu. I agree, he would definitely be more of a Tarzan. :rotfl:

Andrew looks so proud of his drawing. :goodvibes

Awww, Andrew's drawing is great! We've never done the drawing class, but it sounds like your husband and Andrew had a great time! Maybe we'll have to check it out in the future...

Um, I still haven't figured out that Lottso's a bad guy either! :lmao:

Andrew did a really good job on his drawing! I love the Animation class.

I agree about the ABC Commissary. Back in the day, the food there used to be really good. Now, it's just icky.

I'm afraid to do the animation class myself. I suck at stick figures and think this would be nuts. I'm so glad they like it though!

Everything I've had at the ABC Commissary kinda tastes the same really. We've done it a few times, but the boys are better with ADRs this year so we're trying to have something set for DHS days now. :)

The line for whoever they have in that spot is always nuts. I guess if there's a line, people will fill it up! Too bad that you didn't get to visit with him. He is cute!

I agree about Lotso, but I guess he teaches a lesson, right? ;)

Shan Yu surprised me. I really thought he was going to end up with the Beast, based on his answers that day. Tarzan really fits him! He's so shy and quiet when we're out, but at home he's loud and climbing everything in sight. Tarzan is perfect!

Go for it! They've done it a few times now and really enjoy it. We stop in the store after to get a rubber band to roll them up. :goodvibes

On to the MK! We drove over to the TTC and managed a decent spot closer to the front of the lot. Love when that works out A ferry ride over the lagoon and we were soon walking down Main Street again.

Or we started down Main Street anyway.

I don’t quite know why, but my family rarely walks down the street towards the castle if we're arriving late. It’s just wrong, isn’t it? We’re usually browsing through the Emporium instead. This day was no different, as we were on a halloween costume finding mission. A previous visit had turned up nothing, but I was hopeful. Then I was crushed. While there are always a dozen princess gowns, costumes for boys are tough to find. We grabbed a round of waters in Casey’s and headed out for some fun!

CIMG0605.jpg

Adventureland!! This is different, right? My boys had POTC in mind and we were on a one way path to the ride. It was the usual fun, complete with Blake’s cries for a certain redhead before we were done. ;)

CIMG0611.jpg

Halloween merchandise spotted! But still, no costume. I’m sure you’ve guessed what I searching for if we looked here. ;)

CIMG0614.jpg

Leaving our stroller where it was, we decided to go crazy and do something we usually skip.

CIMG0616.jpg

Andrew and I suddenly just HAD to ride this. It would be only our second ride since we started going to Disney as I’d really felt one time was enough for a lifetime. While it was really cute, I didn’t think it would have the same fun effect if I already knew what jokes were coming. We joined what looked like a short wait..

CIMG0617.jpg

Ten minutes must be something else in the jungle. This wait seemed to drag on and on..

Andrew decided to take a nap.

CIMG0622.jpg

I decided to take pictures.

CIMG0623.jpg

CIMG0624.jpg

This wasn’t a good sign... Just how long is ten minutes in the jungle??

CIMG0627.jpg

CIMG0629.jpg

CIMG0635.jpg

We’re getting closer! To be fair, we were kinda close from the start. We just weren't really moving.

CIMG0637.jpg

CIMG0641.jpg

CIMG0642.jpg

CIMG0643.jpg

At least it is pretty entertaining here, right? It was probably still under twenty minutes, but it sure felt like double that! The weather was kinda icky and hot, as it usually is, so I know this was making it seem longer.

CIMG0644.jpg

The ride itself was not worth the wait. I think the heat had gotten to everyone, so no one really laughed at anything. Our skipper tried, but it felt like naptime. Oh well. I don’t really have much desire to do this one again.

We paused to think about the tiki room, but our timing was off so back to the stroller we went. It was here that another big first happened I spotted this..

CIMG0654.jpg

This is probably the coolest Mickey balloon I’ve ever seen. I’d never noticed one with a deflated ear before, but now I see them everywhere! John and I both found it pretty funny and spent way too much standing here to catch a picture. It was windy and the balloon kept bouncing around. I was really hoping the balloon’s owner didn’t show up while I was chasing it. It was ridiculous, but so much fun!

With no particular plan again, we walked towards Frontierland. The pirate tutorial was going on across from POTC at the time, so we paused for a minute or two. The boys weren’t really into it, so John turned us to move on. Blake was getting tired, so we knew it wouldn’t be long before the little guy was napping in the stroller. Walking was the best thing for him.

As we started away from the crowd, a nicer dressed CM stopped in front of us. He was holding a clipboard and looked confused. My nutcase husband decided to make him smile. He pointed behind the CM.

“Look! It’s the governor’s daughter!”

The CM actually spun completely around to see where my husband was pointing. When he realized what was actually said, he did start laughing. I can only imagine what shade of red my face was in that moment. I could not believe he did that! My husband was definitely in a goofy mood and it would only get worse.

If you haven’t see the pirate tutorial, this is a line from it. Is it in the movie? I still haven't seen any of them..

Crowd pic!
CIMG0660.jpg

As you can see in the picture, guests were lining up for the afternoon parade. Our timing was pretty good as we made it to the parade route just as the volunteers portion was passing. We waited for the CMs to open the rope before the rest of the parade made it over.

“In everything you do, celebrate you! And You! And You! And You! And You!”

C’mon, you know that part.

True to his silly mood, my ridiculous husband was singing along and made a point to motion, with two fingers even, at someone for each “and you” that was sung. His final point was at the cast member on the left here. (If you know him, send my apologies..haha) He laughed, but I know he must’ve thought my husband was nuts. At least he was having fun, right?

CIMG0661.jpg

We split up over by BTMRR. I told John to sit down and have some water. He clearly wasn’t well! Andrew and I skipped off to the ride.

CIMG0664.jpg

Thirty minutes, huh? This is our BTMRR max wait time, but I had a feeling it wouldn’t be quite that long. I took the starting pic and up we went. The wait did go pretty fast. We never really stood in one spot for all that long and the final time check had us in line for only 19 minutes! Yay!

The ride was fun. I love BTMRR! We haven’t really ridden it nearly as much as we should in this Disney year. Near the end, when the train slows or sometimes pauses, there was a mist spraying on us. That was weird and something I’ve never noticed before. Does that always happen? Am I crazy?

CIMG0672.jpg

Andrew asked to watch the trains before we could leave.

We joined up with John and a sleeping Blakers to move on. The parade was ending, so we joined the crowd walking to Fantasyland.

...next post...

CIMG0673.jpg

Disney vacuum. Nifty.

CIMG0674.jpg

I don’t really think after parade crowd pics “count” but it was kinda packed.

Fantasyland was busy. I was considering taking Andrew on a few rides while his brother napped, but the waits were all more than we care to do here. He agreed to some Pooh FPs and a trip to Tomorrowland.

Once there, it was time for the Peoplemover. Never a wait for that, right? It was relaxing and I did wonder if I’d fall asleep. Luckily, my little alarm clock never stopped talking so I didn’t have to worry too much about dozing off.

After our fun ride over Tomorrowland, we hit a bump in our Disney day. Blake was napping and it was too early to get a FP for anything. Wait times were all over thirty minutes. We decided to do the smart thing. John got some drinks and we sat on a bench. The most exciting way to spend the day, right? ;) About ten or fifteen minutes later, Blake started to stir and we were able to get a FP round from Buzz.

Time for the 100 Acre Wood!

CIMG0689.jpg

CIMG0698.jpg

Hooray!

Dinner was the usual at CHH, with another trip to BTMRR after. This day is far from the most exciting, but we had a great time. Our Buzz FP time was coming up soon so we took a longer walk in front of the castle back to Tomorrowland.

CIMG0721.jpg

Those were so cute! We were getting so excited over Halloween that day, even if it was only the beginning of September.

CIMG0729.jpg

Time for Buzz! Our scores weren’t bad, but not impressive either. I’ll skip the pics. :goodvibes

That’s all folks! This Disney day was done and we were headed home. I snapped some pics as we left..

See ya real soon! I love those!!

CIMG0766.jpg

Excited for halloween yet? I think I might make it there by March.. :lmao:

Coming soon!! Can I handle a Disney day with both boys and no John?? Probably not, so we’re spending it with “jen22984" and her family. ;)

K so how do you take a pic of your buzz score? Do you just turn your flash off? I tried to take a pic and the flash made my score disappear, so the photo looks like a blank screen. I didn't have time to turn off the flash and try again so no pic.

I saw those vacuums too! Coolest thing ever!

We've never rode the Winnie the Pooh ride before. Somehow we keep missing it & I'm bummed that I've never been on it!

Aryanna and Andrew share a love for BTMRR! She has been saying "you know, my favorite ride, that I didnt get to ride in the day, only at night?" She can't wait to go back to DL to ride it during the day. She was scared on it at night, but wanted to try it during the day the next day, but once her and DH got clear through the line they told her she was too short (even after being tall enough the night before and rode all the other 40inch rides that morning!)!

I never saw one of those Disney vacuums! Neat!

I loved all of the Halloween Decorations! I wish we were going back for the MNSSHP this year!!!

Cant wait until the next Disney Day!!! Its our day!!! (Right?)

You've never seen the Pirates of the Caribbean movie? Not even the first one? It's so good! The second and third aren't that great, but the first one is really worth watching.

There's always better girl stuff than boy stuff at Disney. That's too bad. I never have much luck finding Disney stuff for the boys.

I like seeing all the Halloween stuff, too. I'm planning our next trip in October and we've never been for Halloween, so it's very exciting for me. :yay:

The Halloween decorations looks amazing!! I really want to get down there during September/October some time! Working in education, I don't know how that will ever happen, but we'll see!

Yeah, the flash is off for them. I usually get a couple black screen pics when I take them. It feels like a race for us to snap a pic before the scores are gone. Andrew cracks up every time.

Next time, right? It's so cute now, too. Hope you get to see it!

Nuts about Aryanna's height! Hope she gets to ride it next time. I can't believe she wasn't able to ride it in after doing everything else. Their measuring is just odd sometimes.

Our day is next! I might even get some posted tonight! :thumbsup2

So I keep reading.. :rotfl: But no, I've never seen a one of them!

They really need some more boy stuff in the parks. I realize more girls are going to dress up than boys, but this was halloween stuff. You'd think there would be a little more variety for costumes that time of year.

Have fun on yoru halloween trip! I love it then!!

You never know! I'm a little worried about MNSSHP this year with Andrew being in school actually. It can't be fun working around school schedules. :sad1:

Everyone needs a mental health day or two, even pre-schoolers!! ;) What better way to spend a day away from school than to go to Disney World!!

Sounds like a pleasant MK day! I've never seen one of those Disney vacuums...it looks like a Disney stroller with a giant attachment or something!

Cool Halloween decorations, especially those character statues!

I know I'd have loved to skip school for a Disney day! I'm sure things will work out somehow. :)

Glad I took a pic of one then! I think those giant vacuums are nifty.

I've decided to step away from DISboards for a bit and will not be updating this TR anytime soon. I do still hope to eventually finish it though and everything here is fine. I just didn't want to disappear without a word. :goodvibes

I think I figured this out: I had a dream about you guys last night (really, I did!). In the dream, I was in a theater attending your stage show! You and the boys (I don't know where your DH was) had taken your Year of Disney experiences on the road in a play! Complete with the "Hooray!" :rotfl:

So, that must be where you are. :confused3

Anyway, hope all is well and I'll look forward to more when you're back! :goodvibes

Hey! I totally understand taking a break from the site, but I do hope you finish your report some time.
We are local passholders (on the opposite coast) too. Like you we have the same things we like to do over and over.

So I've taken to searching for new TRs to subscribe to. Riglee's ended and you've taken a break and now I don't have stories to read! :sad1:
Hope all is well!

That is just hilarious. :rotfl: Sorry, no stage show for us! Love that the "Hooray!" was included though!

Hi! I'll get back to it in time. :goodvibes Nice to see another FL person doing the same. :thumbsup2 I wonder if we've ever crossed in the parks?

Only a couple more update free weeks! It'll sound kinda nuts, but.. I think I hit my WDW limit earlier this month. I guess Disney burnout can happen afterall. I never thought it would happen to me! I'm trying to get excited over our "vacation" trip coming up soon right now though. I'll try to update more after then. :goodvibes
