I also clicked thinking it would be tacky, but I LOVE it! If I saw you driving down the road all my worries would disappear and I would have a big, silly grin on my face for hours!!!!

Also, I have to wonder, how come there's not an antenna topper??
Its there. It's a gold mickey ears antenna topper that has been modified with bigger sized craft store glitter. It shines a lot more than the ones you get at Disney. It was actually one of the ones you get at Disney and the glitter all fell off (as they always do), so my DW re-did it and covered it with a thin layer of clear silicone. I'll try and get a pic of it later on.

Mickey88... nice work pal.:thumbsup2 (Sorry... I rode Soarin a few times too many this last trip...) But seriously, I like yours too.
Twice I've had someone in a parking lot see the van and point to a Mickey Mouse tattoo somewhere on their body!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

When we pulled up at the check in at POP the CM came running over and asked us if we were CMs. Usually you get one CM greet you, but this time both of them came out and were admiring it. We scored a parking spot right up front in the 90s section (I keep waiting for someone to say they seen it last week) and we got a lot of comments there as well.

As for the lady who shot us the bird... she was apparently pissed off at the world. She nearly ran 2 different people off the road in the brief encounter. We actually called the highway patrol on her from our cellphone, because she yanked her SUV over into our lane and slammed on brakes then shot us the bird again, and then proceeded to cause even more problems up ahead with other drivers. People like her have no business on the road. If your that angry you should pull over and cool down.

It was the only issue we had on the 9.5 hour trip down, so I consider myself lucky.:thumbsup2

One of the reasons we did this is for that very reason. You meet so many angry/stressed/frustrated drivers these days on the roads. A vehicle like ours usually makes them smile for just a second, and that second lasts long enough for us to get by them without an incident.
Besides, the children love it and it's fun.
The real irony is that this was our last trip to Disney for several years. We have decided to take a break from Disney for a while and do a lot of local shorter trips. There is a lot we haven't done locally (like the mountains, caverns, skiing, rafting, gold panning, beaches, etc) and we're going to do those for a while. Our dog/cat sitter isn't working out, and I won't leave them in a kennel. Shorter trips will eliminate that problem. Who knows... we might even get an RV so we can take them with us. Can you imagine an RV done up like this???:rotfl2::lmao:

:thumbsup2 TOO COOL!!!!

Would love to do something similar with my car, but using Tinkerbell. Don't think my DH would like it though since he does drive my car every once in awhile.

There is a car in a nearby town I have seen twice. It is a red VW bug and has a Mickey silouhette on the back compartment. Each of the door handles has a decal of Mickey's glove as if he is grasping the door handle. An antenna topper of course and the license plate is personalized as well though I don't remember what it says at the moment. And really posting someone else's license online is probably not very nice. :rotfl: I know I sure wouldn't post mine.

I admit that I too thought it would like tacky but I love it! It's very tastefully done - looks fantastic!

My DW has a tink hanging from the mirror of her car. That was enough Tink for me.:rotfl2: I've been known to take it down when I drive her car. Mickey is neutral.:thumbsup2:rotfl2::lmao:

:thumbsup2 Love it! I once had someone enter a party I was at and ask whose car it was that "looked like Disney threw up on it". Guilty as charged.

That is fantastic! I have a mickey hanging from my mirror, and just the other day, DS12 was telling me that without mickey, he'd have a hard time picking out my car. Apparently the grey/beige Camry was a very popular car in 1999. :lmao:

Now I have a sudden urge to use my Cricut machine with my Mickey cartridge and put all that vinyl to use that I have stashed in a drawer somwhere!

Oh I love it! And it GLOWS!!!

Is that legal by the way? I guess so since you've been driving it around. (I am talking about the glow in the dark part) I agree makes you way more visible.

Really I was expecting a disaster - but it's actually so very very nicely done.
Great job!

Just showed dh and he said "I like that!" hmmm maybe we can do it to my little bug?

It looks great! Love it. We have a similar van, without the mickey of course.

I've actually seen you tooling around town. My DD had to call me one day and said "I saw that Mickey van at the Accel!" She was all excited. I didnt know it glowed in the dark though! Thats Awesome!

When I clicked on the thread, I thought, "This is going to be tacky", but I was so wrong! The silver/blue is nice, and I like it! You'll have no trouble finding your car in a dark parking lot.

Same thing. Man it looks great. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely love it! I especially like it at night that is sooo cool!:thumbsup2

I had the same thought!!! I am picturing my car with Mickey heads everywhere :yay:!
