ANyone know anything about the Del Sol Inn? Found a great rate of 49.00.
Thanks.

From the reviews Ive heard that your overpaying at 49.00- You are much better staying at a better hotel and paying a bit more- Have ya checked out the Super 8 on Katella? Its cheap and I havent ever had the problems of bugs and other creepy crawlies that my friends who stayed at the Del Sol had...

I consitently get rooms at the Hyatt in Orange County near Disneyland from Priceline for about $40.00 a night. You can usually upgrade to a "children's room" for an additional $40.00 upon check in. The children's room includes bunk beds in a seperate room, along with two TV's. It's very nice!

The Howard Johnson is a fine place and one of my favorites. The rooms are comfortable and the grounds are nice with lots of trees and planters. The walk over to the parks is about 7 minutes and there is a shuttle if you want to pay $2 a day per person.

I am not to internet sauvy and just now found this board. I booked us at Del Sol in another week and really don't want to start checking other places now. I did check a few today and some were booked already for our days and others had a much higher rate than we can handle.

So my question is, do you think this motel will ruin our visit to Disneyland? Has anyone stayed there and it wasn't so bad to them?

maple, Is it to late to cancel your reservation with out penlty? If not I would be more then happy to help you bid on a hotel using priceline.com and biddingfortravel.com. I think that you can save some money and get a much better hotel.

We did stay here at Del Sol this time. I ended up getting so busy to search for anything else. We were there on Mar 22 & 23rd. I went thinking the worse but it was okay. The room was clean, bedding was fine, room looked good. We were upstairs and didn't really hear much noise anywhere in motel. The pool and spa weren't used to much but the weather had cooled off. I would not hesitate to stay there again. We loved that it was basically across the street from the main entrance. It was great not getting into a car for 2 days. They were re-doing the Denny's in front of motel and lots of construction to walk through.

Nice to read a decent review of the Del Sol. Maybe they have cleaned up since first changing the name.

mapel,
thanks for the update! I am glad you enjoyed your trip.:D There is just something magical about being so close.
