So I'm doing some searching. We have reservations next year at Desert Inn and I don't plan on changing yet..but I see that I can get some REALLY comparable rates at getawaytoday.

Thoughts? It says microwave and fridge available. But I can't seem to find if that's in every room or if it's a surcharge. Hmm

Anyone? Anyone?

I looked this up before and found that they are free and in every room, but I would call Del Sol if I wanted 100% confirmation.

I had both in the Del Sol, my visit was fine though not too recent.

If the rates were the same I'd rather try Desert Inn and Suites knowing it's a newer building maybe it would be quieter.

Otherwise it is more of a do you want an indoor or outdoor pool?

We stayed at the Del Sol once, and said never again. Room was moldy adn floor was wet. Walls were paper thin.

Thanks Liz :)

Thanks SkiingFast! After some extreme number crunching (lol) it seems that it will still be cheaper to split a suite with our party at Desert Inn. I didn't know it was a newer building either. You never hear about Del Sol on here..I guess that should've been a clue haha

Gross, Malcon that's enough to sway me LOL

When I say newer I mean something like 35 years vs 25 years old. It just has a newer architechure.

As to what Malcon said many people have said negative things about it but my stay was quite to the contrary. It was as if they updated it before my stay.

Ah ok. Yeah, it seems they might have recently updated the decor at Del Sol. From what I can tell, Desert Inn is very minimal. Not a problem. Just..white.

I think every hotel has people who are happy and people who are unhappy.
