Hey guys !

In the early stages of planning an upcoming trip in May 2018.

We are a family of 7 so it really limits our choices. I have contacted the courtyard theme park entrance and they said we can book with them. our total would be about $1800

OR

we can book the Del Sol Inn and total for the same dates would be $968.

Which would you choose? Any recent reviews on Del sol ?

We have stayed at the courtyard before so we are familiar with that one. Never stayed at Del Sol.

Thanks in advance for any answers :)

Have you inquired at desert inn & suites? Park vue inn? HomeWood suites? Residence inn? Legacy at the park?

I have stayed at the Del Sol, 2-3 times now and will be staying there in a month. If you do not plan on swimming/staying in the hotel, then it is a good value. If you want to spend time in a pool or relaxing, then it may not be the best.

Par Vue was that bad?

I'm not fussy when it comes to hotels.. but when we stayed there the carpet was so dirty in the rooms we felt we needed to leave our shoes on in the room.. and when you just finished a day in the parks all your want to do is go back to the room and take those shoes off !!

Nothing wrong with the Del Sol. The rooms were clean, quiet (which surprised me since parking is right outside the rooms) We stayed more toward the front not by the pool. Sink is outside the toilet/tub area which is nice. Wifi was great. Breakfast wasn't so good but we don't usually eat breakfast anyway. Denny's is right there and I was also surprised at how good the food was this time.
The price was right and you can't beat the location.
They have rooms with two big beds and bunkbeds.

We usually go for the cheaper route, because we isually only go to the room to sleep.

We just came back from a week long trip and stayed at Del sol. I have no complaints. We have stayed here a couple times before. It is a basic motel. Rooms were clean and the distance to the park is nice
Especially on the walk back
At the end of the day.

We are heading back at the end of January and have rebooked at Del sol.

Have a great trip!

I guess it depends on what you prefer. I think that Del Sol and Courtyard are not even in the same category of type of hotels. I do not even look at other hotel prices if i am not seriously planning on staying there. I enjoy a nice hotel pool and lobby and DD loves room service. So we always look for those type of hotels. If you like both the same then i would go with the cheaper one. Courtyard is pretty pricey though have you looked at others like PP have said

We have stayed at a bunch of hotels in the area. our last trip we stayed at the courtyard and fell in love, just trying to decide if the price is worth it to stay again or just stay at a basic motel in the area.
I have looked at a bunch of other hotels but they all came within 2-300 of the courtyard.

I like the courtyard more since at night I can take the older kids to the pool while hubby works/ littles sleep.

We've stayed at the Del Sol a number of times, all because of price. We have had luck in the past calling them and getting a cheaper price than we could have gotten online, but that was 5 or 6 years ago.
