Hello again!

Has anyone here ever stayed at the Del Sol Inn? Any opinions?

Thanks!

We will be staying there next week Mar1-6. If you can wait until we get back (Mar6) I should be able to post a review sometime Mar7. You might have to PM me to remind me though since we get in late Mar 6 and I have to work Mar 7 early.

I've walked by it, and frankly it looks like a dive. Even their own website doesn't make it look too good!

The tripadvisor reviews (if you read them all) have some pretty scary stuff,

If you want cheap and close, check the Carousel Inn, the Tropicana Inn, the Park Inn and the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites. All are a step above Del Sol.

We stayed there October of 2004. It is your basic budget motel. It is an easy walk to Disneyland and my kids liked the free breakfast. However, our biggest complaint was the parking. There are not enough spaces for all the guests. If you come in at night and there are no spots left, the front desk will give you a pass to park in the Dennys parking lot. You have to have the vehicle moved by 10:00 am the next morning. That means if it is 9:00am and you are on your way to Disneyland, you have to wait until a space opens up for your car before you can go. As I recall, I thought the carpets were a little stained and everything was a big dingy. I think we paid $60 a night. For our next trip the room says it is going for $99 a night, which I would never pay for that. Let me know if you have any other questions.

We were there in September off 2004, and the walls are thin, it is only two stories, so if you can stay on the second level you will reduce some noise. They only had one washer and one dryer, parking IS a problem. We paid $42.00 a night then and would not pay more than $50 to stay there. The rooms are larger than your normal hotel room with a lot of room inbetween your bed and dresser area. They were also working on the water heater when we were there so there was no hot water between certain hours. The pool was FREEZING. The front desk though did not charge us for faxing which was nice. :thumbsup2

We loved our stay there. It is so close to DL. 3 min out of the parks and you are in the room. The rooms are way larger then most around DL. I will stay there anytime. I think we paid $45 a night. The Cont Breakfast was ok. It was acceptable and plenty. Damn its a cont breakfast, not a full course meal. I don't want to pay for a full breakfast. This is good to get something in your stomach and off to the parks. Everything was very clean. The parking was limited but the one day we had a rental car we just parked in the Dennys parking lot. No big deal. I'm in the park most of the time, who cares where you park. When you get a chance move your car to an open spot. People make such a big deal over the smallest things. The desk help was very friendly and helpful. I don't think you could get closer other then the crappy desert inn. I would highly recommend the Del Sol. It's not a luxury place, but its clean and the rooms are large. The grounds are well kept and clean.
