Today, I experienced Deja Vu but not for the first time! My dad and mum were out playing in a charity tennis tournament and I was minding my three younger sisters. They went to the pub afterwards for a drink and then came back up to the house with 2-3 friends. My dad brought up christmas presents from one of the friends that couldn't come up for the four of us. My present was tightly wrapped and I found it hard opening it and when I opened it, it was a book. At that moment, an image flashed in my mind of me getting a present from the same person(don't know the time of year), it being really tightly wrapped and opening it to find that book. It was the weirdest Deja Vu I've ever experienced because the images were so crystal clear!!! Now, I have a photographic memory so maybe that contributed to it and I also believe strongly in ESP, there has been scientific research to proove that there really is ESP!

Has this ever happened to any of you guys. It was so weird! Seriously!

Was it from a CM dressed as a princess? and was the book about tennis?

I don't believe in ESP, but I do believe in EMH!!

There is really no need for that. Why would a CM dressed as a princess be giving me a book about tennis for christmas? Wild Imagination! :thumbsup2

And I don't get whats so funny. How has this never happened to some people? If it ever does happen though it will be the weirdest thing that will ever happen to you! It's like you've already lived the moment but it's happening again! It's a bit freaky at first!

I also have very vivid Deja Vu. It was more pronounced when I was a teenager. Mine usually is triggered by my children and something that they do. Sometimes it is a doom.. I hate these ones. Some people don't believe but I definetely know that feeling. It is something you will never get used to.

You really dont remember? WOW!!, and I never said anything was funny, Just think EMH is more likely than ESP!!

I never said you said anything was funny. I seperated "I don't get whats so funny" from the bit I was talking to you about. And what the hell is EMH? And if you want to go against science and believe that there is no ESP you go ahead and do that, but when Science is right, it's right.

I was referring to the other poster who posted :rotfl: not you.

And of course I remember the whole drama but this is no place to bring it up and it's going completely off-topic.

The last time I had it before yesterday was the summer. It was so weird that day aswell but not as clear as yesterday!

You feel like you lived the exact minute because your mind believes you have. Deja Vu very simplified is a feedback loop in which short term memory is perceived as long term memory, while remaining short term memory as well. The duel nature creates a feeling that the present and the past are one. Pretty sure it is not ESP. Current most acceptable theory is as I stated above. To go into more detail usually it is caused by one eye sending information slowly into the brain, and the hemispheres are in a disharmonic state with one side processing you seeing something for the first time, and the slower side recalling what was just seen as a second viewing.

Thats somebody explaining the latest theory scientists and everyone has on Deja Vu.

Deja vu is just your mind screwing with you.
Luckily I have mine fairly well trained ;)

Not DeJa Vu but Vuja De.

That's the experience where nothing like this has ever happened to you before.

Happens alot.

I have deja vu tings all the time. Theyt don't usually freak me out. I consider them the good news that mybraini is still faorly functional!

EMH is extra magic hours at WDW.

Can you point me to this scientific proof that ESP exists? I'd love to collect the $1,000,000 from James Randi!

Let me preface this by saying that I don't believe in ESP or any of that other nonsense. I think deja vu is just a little blip in your memory storage in your brain. An event triggers some sort of chemical reaction in your brain that feels like memory.

But I did have this one very strong deja vu reaction to a place. This one time I drove past a school and had a very strong memory reaction, like I'd been there before as a child. I asked my parents if it was possible and they say no, that we've never been to that place. Every time I drive past that school, I still have that feeling. :confused3

I admit, it is a strange feeling!

I used to get deja vu all the time, much more so when I was in my teens. I've read that it's a neurological jump or brain burp thing. I rarely get it anymore.

Oh, and I'm assuming that poster used the :rotfl: smiley to laugh at the previous poster's double posting funny.

It really freaked me out when it happened but everythings back to normal..........if everything was normal to begin with :lmao:

I've read alot of posts here and elsewhere and many people say that they mostly had it in their teens. Strange but oh well.
