I would have to agree with you ....I am not close to my biological family at all...my true family is a family that has accepted me as one of their own...to the point they forget they didn't give birth to me.
My "sister" was in the ER for some female issues...my "dad" says "Don't forget to tell the DR about your sister endometriosis" (meaning me)....My"sister" and "mom" looked at each other, shrugged and said "OK".
These people are my family...they were who my husband asked for my hand from, the people that were in the delivery room when my girl was born, and the people who are the soft spot when I fall. If you don't consider that family...well, you are just crazy!!!!
