This evening I phoned and added the Lucky Nugget Character Lunch and a Birthday Cake to our package and that's all paid for, I can forget about that and obviously I got both that little bit cheaper by prebooking.
BTW Thanks to whoever it was that mentioned it was cheaper to pay for the cake beforehand.

The reason I did it is because as I understand it and I hope I've got this right - you only receive HB vouchers for each night of your stay, not each day ? and we have a 4 night 5 day visit, arriving early evening on the first day so it won't be worth going to the park but we are planning a meal at Billy Bob's, but this is the only restaurant that I'd need HB+ plus vouchers for, as we've decided on Rendezvous des Stars, Agrabah Cafe and either Plaza Gardens or Annette's for the remaining days. So I'm leaning towards getting the standard HB plan, but somebody please tell me that these vouchers can be used at Face Value at Billy Bob's.
I don't mind paying the extra as long as I know they'll be accepted and not refused as someone recently reported back from the Steakhouse. The wording on the site isn't very clear.
Upgrade: You can upgrade your Half Board Plan to gourmet restaurants, the legendary Disney Character Dining, and Buffalo Wild West Diner Show, by exchanging your coupon at face value.

Don't think Billy Bob's would be classed as a Gourmet Restaurant !

Up until last week I would have said yes you could use them at face value but as you say a few people seemed to have problems last week.

I still think you will probably be Ok doing that but you could always ask before you go in.

We had no problems in summer using our half board plus at face value in cafe mickey or silverspur towards the more expensive menu (DH) and Inventions

I can't remember the wording exactly and I can't find where I read it (it was in the DLP brochure somewhere but I don't have one), but I definitely read that all half board vouchers could be used in all fine dining restaurants at face value.

It doesn't change the fact that some people haven't been able to use them in this way at the Steakhouse, but maybe if you were armed with a brochure where it says you can, you would have a better case when arguing?

Hope this helps.I researched a lot about H/B before I went and thought I had it sussed until The Steakhouse wouldn't accept my H/B Premuim vouchers

yes 1 voucher per nights stay.We stayed 4 nights and got 4 vouchers.

it was me who said bout the cake - as i remember how i was when i saw the price of €22 on the bill - and was so glad id paid in £ lol

Thanks again, in actual fact it's helped spread the payment out a bit too, which is hand as I've just discovered both my boys' passports expire 19 days before we go, talk about bad timing.
