Defer to 2013?

I remember reading in a thread here a while ago that there is a way to defer marathon or Goofy entries from 2012 to 2013. Cost was something like $30. Can someone please refresh my memory on this? I'm not sure I'll have to defer, but it'd be nice to know how in case I do. Thanks!

Yea, I just emailed disney and tehy deferred my wine and dine. Basically what you do is sign up for the next race, send them a form, and they refund you the entry fee minus 30 bucks.

I thought that they didn't refund your money. I thought you just had to sign up for another race and got charged the rate on top of that?

Im curious about this too. Dont know if we'll defer or not.

I would love to defer for MCM in two weeks, because not feeling ready and Ive missed almost two weeks of training from being sick.

I think the deadline has passed to transfer your entry to another runner, but MCM also has a really good deferral system in place. All the information is on their web site, and it's pretty simple to fill everything out to get a deferral for next year.

Say what???? I didn't run the 2010 W&D for personal reasons and had no idea I could do this... I assume its too late now?


ETA... looks like this was something new they implemented in 2011... good for them!
