Deep thoughts. . .

My favorite Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey:

As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

Laurie got offended that I used the word puke. But to me, that's what her dinner tasted like.

Elwood P. Dowd:
"Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me."

My favorite movie

This amused me this morning.

"The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it."

- George Bernard Shaw

So many to choose from. I guess the following pretty much sums me up.

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference". –Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

*cough cough*
