Are there fried pickles available anywhere onsite including DTD?

OMG! I would love to see that at WDW but I'm sure it never will be because most people wouldn't eat them.:sad2:

My first thought was Raglan Road...but maybe I am thinking of some other not the normally deep fried thing... I could have sworn I read a review of them somewhere.

Many yrs ago....there was a country bar/restaurant at Pleasure Island that had them. That was the first and last time I ever had them.

The only place we've had them near Disney is at B.B. King's.

Good luck.

:)

I haven't had a deep fried pickle but it actually sounds good. Do they serve them with ranch?

I'm a self-proclaimed fried pickle expert, and I have found none on Disney property. There should be. I'm very picky about my fried pickles.

For those that have never enjoyed this delicacy: done right, fried pickles are heavenly. There has to be a perfect layer of crispy breading, but the pickle still has to have a little bit of juiciness. You can dip in ranch or blue cheese, but for this, I prefer ranch. Oh, and always check before ordering if they are slices or spears. Fried pickle spears are in no way as good as the slices.

I've had them once. Eh, I don't know. The pickle taste doesn't seem to go with the fried taste well to me. They are kind of separate tastes that don't really combine well.

For those that have never had fried pickles, they are best when thinly sliced with a light breading and fried till crispy. Can be dipped in anything from ranch to cocktail sauce. Personally I like them dipped in a mayo/chilli paste combo.

I think I agree with every single thing you said, though if you can get a good blue cheese where the chunks are tiny so you get little bits with every bite then it's really good. I miss fried pickles. I think I need to try making some at home next time I'm doing a bunch of deep frying.

It's weird how the opposite is true for zucchini as far as shape goes; I much prefer spears over slices for zucchini. With pickles I also prefer a beer style batter while for zucchini I prefer more of a breading style batter.

Funny, that's how I feel about salted pretzels and chocolate. They're great on their own, but don't put them together.

I have been eating them for years. I love them more than anything. Anyway, they don't have them o property, but I think there is a Hooters pretty close and they have them. And yes, I do take my kids to Hooters.

Not Really DIS material but they have them at Hooters. They are REALLY GOOD. The Pickles that is.

I had them for the first time last summer in SC. They were awesome. Done right, they will be still pickly on the inside with a light, crispy breading. They had a SW ranch dipping sauce. Very addicting. The pickles really need to be good quality...not your hamburger pickles slices! I don't think they are fried very long.
