Has anyone ordered recently, I wanted to know the time frame for receiving them. I was wondering if it was too late to order them today and receive them by christmas?

I think that if you want their free shipping, then you should expect them to arrive after the holiday. Their website even says that to "ensure Christmas delivery, upgrade to expedited shipping". Chances are good that the free shipping is Media Mail. Expedited is First Class or Priority Mail.

Honestly, I wouldn't chance it with the regular shipping. DDD is slower, but more times than not, I am not in a hurry for the movie, so I just take the free shipping. But, if you are needing the movie by Christmas, I would opt for the expedited shipping.
