dedicated studio vs. lock-off at BCV?

We have only stayed in 2BR rooms at the BWV at this point. Since all BWV rooms are lock-offs, I know what the BWV studios look like. We now have a studio booked at BCV during one of the Star Wars weekends. I see that there are both dedicated and lock-off studios. Other than the connecting door, are there any differences in these different types of rooms? Is it worth requesting a dedicated, or does it not really matter?

Thanks!

always try for a dedicated - and yes BWV has dedicated studios - just no dedicated 2-bedrooms.

it cuts down on noise.

at VWL they have an extra closet.

at BWV some of them have that little day bed (not really - but that is what it is called).

don't remember what BCV had?

that say - remember your wait at check in may be longer because of your requests.

Once at BCV we had a dedicated studio with a gigantic balcony! I'm sorry I don't know the number, but I do like dedicated studios, whatever the resort...but no, we've never asked for one.

Be aware that the lock-off studios at BWV have the door in a different place than at BCV, one reason why I prefer BCV to BWV. At BWV, the door is closer to the sliding glass door, in the main part of the room. At BCV, on the other hand, the connecting door is back near where you enter the room, before you reach the kitchenette. IMO, this makes a lock-off studio at BCV quieter than at BWV.

Noise is why I'd be happy to get one but only at BWV or OKW (do they have them there?) would I be ecstatic. Moving the connecting door to the front was a brilliant piece of design change.

Sorry but....... what is a dedicated room and lock-off room? I think i have an idea but not sure:confused: :sad2:

The dedicated units can only be used as what they are: a studio, 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom. The lockoffs can be used with either part, studio or 1 bedroom or as the combo, a 2 bedroom. So, if you are in a lock-off studio at VWL or BWV, you may have a family next to you. The connecting door to that unit, (which of course will be kept locked with your door and the door on the other side) is right in the "living area." The doors are a bit more apt to let in noise from the adjoining/connecting room than a wall is. At the BCV's the connecting doors is right by the entrance way...so in the living area of the studio and the 1 bedroom side have a solid wall between them and not a wall broken up with the doors.

Thanks! Seems like it would be worth it to request a dedicated and see what happens, though it sounds like either one would be fine.

I didn't know that the BWV had dedicated studios. Next year we are planning to go to BWV with a large group, and I will probably need to book a 2BR and a studio. Now I know to request a dedicated there too!

the BWV dedicated studios we got were great - right off the elevators no long walks.
