Dedicated 2BD villa at BCV - bed config question

We're renting points from someone to stay at the BCV next year. We plan on renting points from them for our stay from Sun - Friday, and then paying cash for our stay on Fri & Sat night (less expensive to do it this way).

My question is this...we'd like to stay in one of the 2BD dedicated units that have 2QN beds in the 2nd bedroom. Does anyone know if this option is available when you're using a combination of points & cash for the stay? I've heard that there are only certain types of units that you can pay cash for, but I'm not sure.

Anyone know?

The 2 queen bed 2 bedrooms are not available for cash at BCV, neither are the boardwalk view rooms at BWV.

There isn'y any reason those particular rooms would not be available for cash. Its just a matter of inventory. If there aren't any DVC members staying in one of those units, Disney would be happy to have a paying guest there rather than have it go vacant.

Be sure your reservation specifically states "dedicated with 2 beds in 2nd bedroom", because it is supposed to be a booking catagory. As for paying cash for the same room type over the weekend....That depends on if you are paying cash through CRO or using the DVC member's cash discount. CRO may not have dedicated inventory, and in that case, you would have to move for those 2 nights.

I think it's a matter of policy, since those rooms are popular, they only reserve for points. I'm sure if it came down to close to the date and there were some empty they would rent them for cash but the chances of that is very slim. Member Services' priority is to serve members booking with points.

Keep in mind CRO cash reservations do not book a particular category.
