Decorations!

We never had random inspections. If they do a random inspection, I'm guessing they assume that it may not be as clean as it would for a planned one. They give you a week or more notice and it's posted on a sign as you enter the complex (it was at Chatham at least).

i lived at chatham and never had a surprise insepection either. I think i had 3 or 4 scheduled ones though for advantage. We always had a week or so notice which was nice. I've heard that "surprise" inspections only happen if they have reason to suspect that there is suspicious behavior going on in the apartment (ie: drugs, underage drinking, weapons... something that can and will get you termed).

NOTE::: this is just what i've heard. I'm not sure if it's true and I'm sure surprise random inspections can and have happened for any reason. This is just what my experiences were.

so i guess that throws out the idea of wall mounting a flat-screen?

:rotfl2:Yeah you won't be able to get that up. You could try to find a stand with the mount built on it already I had one but sold it to my mom and pop because the TV was too small 32" I needed like a 37 to 52 just tried to make it work.

I think the apartment people are a little too strict with the inspections. Me and my roomate were constantly getting dinged for minor stuff. Like having items on top of the sink in our bedroom. It was just like hand soap, a flat iron, toothpaste, and our toothbrushes, but apparently they didn't want anything on top of the sink.

We missed getting the "white glove" because apparently we hadn't vacuumed enough (which, I have NO idea what they saw on the ground, I saw nothing)

Yes, we got marked down because even though we vaccumed, the inspector could not see the vacuum lines in the carpet.:sad2: Who the hell cares about vacuum lines as long as the floor is clean?

I'd like to hang some stuff on my wall this time around, so I think I'll take some of the advice in this thread on what to use so I don't get in trouble.

I talked to my campus reps and they told me that some holes made by push pins were okay in the wall. They did suggest me to use toothpaste when I left to cover the holes.

Also, they said the insepections were more strict at patterson since the apartments are newer.

Does it matter what size the bulletin board is? Is there a limit on the size? Also, can you tell me how the allow the board to be mounted? Nails? 3M hooks?
