Decorating your resort room?

I'll be at the Pop Nov 8-12 with my window well decorated- please don't let me be the only one! (Not that it really matters, I'll still do it, but it'll be more fun to see a lot of them!)

Family Dollar has Tinkerbell Xmas clings and Mickey and his gand Xmas clings- $1 for a big sheet of each. Not bad!

Just wanted to subscribe to this wonderful thread so I can finish reading it when I have some spare time. Last year we were at AKL the week of Christmas and we put some princess christmas clings on the mirror in the room and I had a snow man door hanger and a snowman plug in light type of thing that lit up different colors. DH also surprised me with a christmas tree from disney florists! We're going dec 13th-21st this year and I'm not sure where we are staying (dh is keeping it a secret b/c we might not be able to go so I don't want to know so I'll be less sad if we can't go due to work not giving us time off) , but i'm quite inspired by these boards and if we are going I'll def be decorating our room again this year...maybe a little more mickey and a little less snowman like I had last year:goodvibes

I thought I posted pics of my window/door but I don't see it. So if this is a double post I aplogize. We stayed at Pop. I used scotch tape on the windows and magnets on the door.

I L-O-V-E your mickey head wreath!!!

BTW, I was wondering if many ppl decorate their rooms when they are off site?

Do most people at ssr decorate their windows or are people going to think we are crazy?? First trip home in Dec and just wondering?

Depending on the type of accomodations you have there, you'll probably only have a sliding glass door (or two) to decorate. If you have a 2Bdrm or GV, then you will have some windows to work with. Normally only value and moderates have the picture windows you can decorate. However, I have seen many balconies/sliding glass doors at the deluxe and DVC resorts decorated.

You have some large windows some of the rooms at OKW resort normally, but the other DVC resorts do not have those. I decorate my door sometimes and/or my door to the balcony or the balcony itself.

Has anyone seen the Disney Christmas window clings at their local Dollar Tree?
I been checking mine but no luck so far. We leave in about a month and I would like to have them to decorate our window. Thank you for your help and all the wonderful ideas on this thread,:thumbsup2

We just returned from a week at POP Century and decorated our window simply. I used Disney Halloween clings I found on ebay since I couldn't find any locally. The mickey head I traced and cut from cling vinyl I bought on joann.com I didn't see many windows decorated in our walks around the resort, but it made our room stand out and easier to find. The clings didn't stay up as well as I had hoped. I didn't realize one had fallen down until later and the Halloween ones had curled edges by the end of the week.

We decorated our window last week at Port Orleans French Quarter. I didn't see any other decorated windows, but I also didn't walk around the resort too much.

This is mine and my girlfriends room from our stay at Pop 10/26-11/1 during Holloween. I put the lights on a timer so they would go off in the morning at like 6 am and turn on at about 6 pm. We used no tape at all just some different sized suction cups on the window.

Your window looks GREAT! How did you get the letters to stick or are they clings?! We are wanting a honeymoon feel so we got Just married clings to go up but I am thinking about doing lights also because that is so cute!

The trick or treat ones where the jelly clings we got at Walmart while down there and the ones with our names hanging from the castle are actually linked with little keychain rings in between each letter and there laminated.
