Decorating your Magicband ideas

I have been checking out different ideas on how to decorate your magicbands and wanted to share mine.

I used Disney Little Mermaid rub on transfers for mine. It came out great, really durable and not rubbing off. I had to really scrap at it with the sharp flat side of a pair of scissors to change one of the rub ons that did not go on right.

Edited to add a picture of the rub on kit I used

Tip I learned-
Find what notch you like the Magicband on and put the rub on while it is in that position to avoid cracking of your image. I tried rubbing it on while the band was flat and when I put on the Magicband the image cracked cause it stretched to bend around the band. Try using a baseball bat as your fake wrist to help rub the image onto the band. You can pick a part of the bat that is your wrist size and the magicband fits snuggly.

Love this idea! Where did you get the rub on Little mermaid things? DD LOVES Ariel!

I know they sell all kinds of Disney rub ons on ebay but you may find some cheaper at your local crafts / scrapbooking store.

A Diser gave me these a few years ago in trade for some pins I gave her.

Love this! Was thinking about ways to decorate my band for the upcoming trip

That is very cute! I had once bookmarked a thread on magic band decorating, but forgot about it. I guess I had better get moving if I'm going to decorate!

What are rub ons?

Maybe someone will come along with a better explanation but they are like a sticker but no real adhesive on the back. You kinda put it on like a tempory tattoo but no water. The kit includes a Popsicle type stick that you use to rub the image onto what you want. So cut image to size, peel off the wax paper back of the image, rub with Popsicle stick on image to transfer the image.

There's already a big thread with lots of ideas on how to decorate your Magic Bands on the Theme Parks Community Board. I know they'd all love to see your bands! :thumbsup2
I'd encourage anyone interested in decorating their bands to come on over.
I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to post a link.

This is soo cute! I didn't even think of this being an option. Thanks for the post!! :)

:surfweb: I'm a lazy bones. I ordered ours.

I ordered from both. I like the decals from Crystals better, but it's a little more involved to order from her, as you have to go thru her facebook page and e-mail her.

Crystal's bands are really nice. I followed your link, but couldn't figure out how to order. (Very rarely use FB.)
Left a "message" w/ my email - hope that works...
Thanks for the link.

Thanks for the link.

I think you can just e-mail her and tell her which design(s) you want (after scrolling throu the FB page and seeing them).

"MAGIC BAND DECALS: Direct Checkout via email/paypal ONLY. Email me at ccolv@knights.ucf.edu to ask more questions or place an order. Send me your desired order and Paypal address, I'll send you an invoice."

I emailed Crystals Creatives this morning and I guess Disney sent her paperwork because she said she is not doing magic bands anymore. Did anyone else get this reply?

We'll see how it works but I just bought a rub on kit that you can print your own images & then rub them. I'm going to try that to give each of my four kids unique tattooed magic bands. Love your suggestion of using a bat- I'll definitely try that-thanks!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea and am blatantly stealing it! :D thanks!
