I'm wondering if anyone has ideas on how to decorate my manual w/c to identify it from all the rental w/c's. I got bike streamers for the handles and am planning on using my '"cricut" to make a large mickey head to put my name and cell phone number on. Any other ideas? I would hate for someone to get my chair by mistake. Thanks, Cheryl:goodvibes

If you will be using your wheelchair in lines, it is not really going to be in places where anyone would mix it up, so I would not worry about it.

The park rental ones all look the same. If yours already looks different than than the park rental ones, then what you plan to do is probably more than enough.

On DD's manual and power wheelchairs I added some glow in the dark stars that I found in Target in the area where they have party favors (just beyond the cards and gift wrapping paper). They were self adhesive and I added them to the flat areas of her wheels and on the back of her seatback. Besides making it more 'personalized' , the glowing stars also make the wheelchair more visible in the dark.

You could always do what I did with my rented ECV (from Randy's). I attached several Lime Green Mickey Heads (doubled together & then laminated... gotten from Home Depot's paint department) with attachments (wire ties that snap together). Made it VERY easy to spot mine, and also made it easier for other Dis'ers to spot me as another Dis'er.

Whatever you do, Enjoy the Magic!

PS. That's how SueM from MN recognized me as a Dis'er in a huge crowd of people at the Rededication Ceremony for Epcot's 25th. Just wish I'd have spotted her sooner!

DW has stickers and decals on her WC. A Stitch "here comes trouble decal", DVC Member sticker, College Program bumper sticker (DD, MSE, 2002) and a
15 Years bumper sticker.

I have a pillowcase-like covering that goes over the back of my seat. It has openings for the handles and is in a floral pattern. My seat cushion has a matching cover. They are easy to make and can be changed easily to suit your mood. For DW, there are many great Disney materials that could be used!

I've discovered that the light up necklaces they sell in the evenings are great in the spokes. They jazz up the chair and make you more visible at night. Tinsel, ribbons, beads, and other string-like things can also be woven around the spokes, handles, footplates etc.

Thanks everyone! These are great ideas :)
